These are GREAT. Incredibly easy to install. They work perfect. The backlight feature is looks killer. I do construction and can tell you that these are every bit as good as HALO brand, or some of the others you find at the Big Box Stores for 2-3x the price. I like these a lot. 12 for what? $80 or so? You're losing money if you don't buy these! Haha! But seriously, they're half the price.

We're remodeling our house and I recently purchased 7 different types of recessed lights from 6 different brands. They're all very similar and I'm not giving any of them 5 stars. They're all easy to install. All of them come with their own J box. If you use the recommended size hole saw (or just a drywall saw and trace the right size hole) then all of them fit well. They all have a gasket to get a good seal against the ceiling. This set includes wire nuts and is the only one that didn't have push in connectors. I generally prefer nuts over push-ins but for these lights I don't think it really matters. Just know that if you want to use push-in connectors (Wago style) you'll need to buy those separately. This is also the only light I bought that had a plastic junction box. Does that matter? Not really. It feels cheaper but most of the boxes in my house are plastic. Having a plastic box does allow them to leave out a grounding wire though. That can be confusing for someone who's never done any electrical work before. These spring-loaded clips on these lights were also the weakest I've seen. They're still strong enough to hold flush against the ceiling, but they may not be quite as air tight if that matters (thinking attic air leaks). However the looser springs does makes these a little easier to install. My main gripe with all of the lights I tested is that not a single one includes the proper cable clips to feed your wiring into the junction box so it will hold in place and not rub against the box. Most people won't even know that you should have these if they're not included. Since this box is plastic the rubbing is less of a concern, but there should still be a clip that holds your wiring too the box.Is it a big risk? No, not in most applications because you're probably installing these from the ceiling and you're just going to shove it inside and it won't move again until it gets uninstalled. But that's a sticking point for me. Otherwise these lights are great. Extremely bright. That's really nice if you have a dimmer.

The light itself is ultra-thin, making it easier to install than traditional tube lights, and there is no need to install a can, saving unnecessary trouble. The black appearance is simple and modern, and it matches the ceiling of my house very well, and it looks particularly high-end. The brightness of the light is also very good, 1500 lumens is definitely bright enough, and I have no problem with it in the living room and kitchen. I also like that it can adjust the color temperature, from warm light to cold light, there is always a mode that suits your mood and scene, and the dimming function is also very smooth, without any flash or glare. The night light function is also an unexpected surprise, and you don’t have to worry about glare when you get up at night.

A Perfect Upgrade for Any RoomI recently swapped out my old incandescent can lights for these LED replacements, and I couldn’t be more impressed. First off, the installation was incredibly straightforward—literally a "plug-and-play" experience. The design fits perfectly into my existing can light fixtures, with no need for any modifications or extra tools. Whether you're a DIY beginner or experienced, you’ll find this process super simple. One of the standout features is the black trim. It adds a sleek, modern look that blends into any room, no matter the style. I was a bit nervous that the trim would stick out too much against a white ceiling, but this didn't end up being the case. The cool night light function is another bonus. It’s a nice, subtle glow that’s perfect for those late-night trips to the kitchen or bathroom, without being too harsh or disruptive to your sleep. It’s a fantastic feature for creating a gentle ambiance, and it’s energy-efficient, too, using minimal power while still providing enough light to see comfortably.Speaking of energy efficiency, we all know LEDs are a game-changer. Compared to my old halogen/incandescent bulbs, the energy savings are noticeable. They use a fraction of the energy and have a much longer lifespan, which means I won’t have to replace them anytime soon. The brightness is more than sufficient—offering a clean, bright light that illuminates the entire room, but without the usual heat that comes with traditional bulbs. Having an adjustable color temp is great as well - although I do wish there was a way to change it easily after install.Overall, I highly recommend these LED replacements. They are not only practical and efficient but also add an aesthetic touch that can elevate any room. With their ease of installation, sleek design, and energy-saving benefits, they’re truly a win on all fronts. Whether you're upgrading your home or just replacing outdated fixtures, these lights are an excellent choice.

These lights look AMAZING and were more than a breeze to install. You do not have to be an electrician to do it. The night light feature is so freaking cool, and if you're like me and always fighting with the wife about the level of light in a room then these will quell those arguments with their 5 choices of lighting mode. They are dimmable even when not using the night light feature, but that feature is perfect for movies or Netflix marathons as they cast little to no glare on your television. These will be a much better first installation type project rather than replacing. I had to replace existing recessed lights and they only had a 4" hole. These require a 6" hole so I had to trace a wider area, buy a drywall saw, and cut out the excess to make them fit. All this while the wife held the vacuum tube up as close to the saw as possible so I didn't dust the whole house with drywall powder, lol.I rate these 5 stars and HIGHLY recommend them, but if I could offer ONE suggestion to the manufacturer it would be to give us a remote to switch lighting modes without having to get on a ladder, go to each light, pull them down, and flip a switch on the box you throw up in the ceiling.
