Compré una lámpara similar hace más de 25 años y me gustaba mucho llevarla a los campamentos por la iluminación que da y el sonido especial que hace. Lamentablemente alguien rompió el cristal y no pude conseguirlo. Pero finalmente la conseguí en Amazon y aunque no es barata, vale la pena. Son artículos que si se cuidan adecuadamente, pueden durar generaciones. Solo recomiendo tener mucho cuidado porque la parte superior se calienta bastante, casi al rojo vivo. Y no debe usarse en lugares cerrados a menos que sea una habitación grande con ventilación.

I was looking for a simple, match-lit lantern to pair with my ancient Coleman 5114 and this was the closest that I could find. It's slightly shorter but works fine. It comes with insta-clip mantles but I find the string tie ones to be easier; the mantles pre-burned nicely and put out a lot of light. The nut holding the top on is permanently attached, which is a nice touch so that it's not misplaced, and the base holds the 1 pound cylinder snugly. I had to slightly adjust the metal bracket on the top, which holds the glass chimney in place. The only thing I don't like is the dial being a click dial rather that infinitely adjustable. It's not a deal breaker but I don't see any benefit. I would buy again if I needed another.

Loved this as much as the old school gas one I had. Great light source. Really good product.Handle and top get hotter than I remember the old school one getting but I'm probably wrong. Just be aware it can get very hot.Seems pretty efficient and this way I can use the same tanks on my stove, so ... bonus

works great for extra light around the camp site, I was able to spot raccoons and skunks around the bushline of our site as i had a dog with me our dog has a high prey drive (american akita) and would try to ragdoll any wildlife..Used about 1 full 1lb tank for 7 or 8 hours use (on one notch below full light setting)If you set one up on your camp site make sure it isn't shining on other campsites.Definitely a must have for late night campers especially if you have pets with a high prey drive with you.

I have always trusted Coleman products and this one is as good as ever! Very lightweight yet bright for a lantern. As always you have to be careful not to let it fall over and keep it from bouncing around very much due to the fragility of the mantles but that's nothing new and spare mantles are cheap enough to carry spares as needed. Coleman makes fantastic products for camping and emergencies

We have two cabins. One we have had for a while and then another we just bought. We bought this lantern for the new cabin and was amazed at how much brighter it is compared to the older Coleman lanterns at the other cabin. So we had to buy one of these for the other cabin too. We don't like dull yellow light, even in our house we don't use soft white bulbs but natural daylight bulbs, so this lantern really helped at the cabin. We highly recommend this lantern for camping or cabin use.
