I bought this one because of the price. I installed it and it worked for cake batter and frosting. I thought great! I didn’t use the mixer for quite a while then when I went to make cinnamon rolls today and knead the dough, it started to slip right away. Now I need to order an OEM part to replace this one.

I had already bought this part before seeing the reliable YouTube video (Mr. Mixer - 5-star!) warning to buy an OEM worm gear instead of the the cheap Amazon gear because the cheap ones tend to slip - the plastic gear slips on the aluminum hub. I installed the one I had anyhow, and that's exactly what happened; it slipped and the mixer didn't work. So I bought a $25 gear from Mr. Mixer (decent price) to replace the $8 Amazon one and it's been working fine.

It worked to fix my wonderful Kitchenaid stand mixer since the beaters had quit revolving whe watched you tube video of how to fix it and bought the part now it works good again

This is a waste of money and time. The nylon gear is not bonded to the aluminum hub. As a result, it will slip during any hard work like kneading dough. I had to purchase an OEM gear to get my mixer back working properly.
