They say the filter is good for 4-6 months but you may want to replace it every 2-3 when you look at the bottom and see what you are filtering out of your air. Air will smell cleaner. Kind of loud from 2 out of 4 speeds. 1, 2, 3, quick clean. I spread several of these throughout the house on different levels. 1 is quiet enough for those sensitive to white noise levels, 2 is nice to move more air but significantly louder than 1. 3 is nice for sleeping with a loud-ish white noise background and very clean air. Quick clean is nice in the kitchen but will take a few minutes to clear out oil smoke or similar. 1 of 5 has developed a squeak in the fan motor but with a 5 year warranty I am hopeful Vornado will honor it.

My seasonal allergies have been kicking my butt and I needed something to purify the air while I slept. This machine is so perfect that Im considering getting one in each room. Its small, cute, quiet and works great. The bit of noise that is does make is very calming. I have mine right next to my bed. I havent tried it in a large space but its great in my bedroom.

After having it for almost a year now I can’t brag enough about it. For the price point I was very surprised about how effective it is. Clears smoke out in minutes and helps us countless times from the smoke detector going off when the stove gets a little crazy. If you’re on the fence just get it, you won’t regret it!

My daughter has pretty bad spring allergies and I'm a "Leave the window open when it's nice out" type Mama. She is also an "open the window it's so nice outside" type gal. Makes it hard with allergies. BUT this little guy is a huge help in her bedroom. It has a setting that will quickly clean the air and she uses it about 30 minutes before she goes to bed; closes her window and door and lets it do its thing. When she's ready for bed, she turns it down and falls asleep to the quiet white noise. She wasn't sure it was "working" at first, but then she didn't use it one night and felt the effects of that the next morning. We are all believers now!Its sort of big but not obnoxiously so. She says the clean the room setting is loud, but its regular setting during the night is just fine, like a fan. She loves it and it works. That's all that matters to her Dad and I!
