This hiking backpack is incredibly well made, great quality materials and construction of the product. It has the best weight carrying capacity of any other full wear toddler backpack for hiking. Has great storage as well! I would recommend this to anyone that has a toddler to small child and wants to hike with them! For parents, it has excellent safety straps and, while I couldn't find any with a crotch strap to help better secure children, this one's design of chest/shoulder straps were the most sturdy and securing. They may get a little warm as the portions again the child are fabric's for comfort. I'm more than willing to work with light cooling items to have this level of security! The wide hip and shoulder straps for the guardian/parent make it very comfortable! It's sleek, clean, and husband was really excited for this item too!

Update: After test driving locally, we took our 20 month-old walking all around Rome without a stroller! Cobblestones and construction (and umarell). The Up-Eaze held up its end of the bargain and got us over a couple of jetlagged slumps. We did find it necessary to add a bottle carrier and fanny pack, which was easy and secure using the molle loops, but did add to the cost a bit. We found ourselves wishing the zipper for the main compartment was shorter to limit the chance of the whole thing flopping open. But overall, very pleased!I'm skeptical of anything with

This is a pretty hefty carrier. It can hold kids up to 50 lbs. and minimum wait is 16 lbs. , so mainly little kids, probably not babies. It's a little complicated with all the straps and what not but once you get used to how it goes works, it's not so bad. This has been wonderful for our outdoor excursions with the kids. Love that there is space to store smaller items in the backpack part of it. Comes with secure clips to keep child buckled in safely and the frame of this is just a sturdy, great build. Doubles as a backpack when not being used as a carrier!

The bag itself seems well made, it’s not light cheap material. It does have some weight to it though. It’s comfortable to wear but the issue I am having is that my kids complain about the skinny straps coming under their arms and rubbing on their sides since there isn’t padding there. The extra separate buckle is also a bit of a pain to attach. Another thing is that the stuff in the bottom of the bag gets smooshed a bit when it’s used as a seat. As a normal back pack it’s great though.

This backpack child carrier is a really great idea. It is really nice for doing outdoor walking activities with your toddler who can walk on their own. This is a fully functional backpack and can be used just as that. As a backpack it has a lot of space in the main compartment, and a smaller compartment at the bottom too. I really appreciated the stacked compartments vertically instead of only horizontal compartments. It has nice shoulder straps and the waist straps work well and are comfortable.Now what this product does is convert to a seat for your child to rest on when tired of walking, but you are not. It is pretty well designed, including foot rests and a harness to make sure they do not fall off. I did find that even with the thickened seat material, weight will still transfer to the items in the bag, so be aware for anything crushable.All around, this is a very neat, and great product.
