I love how sturdy and secure this pack feels when wearing it. I feel like my kid is secure and balanced on my back. I don’t feel extra top heavy, and yet my toddler can see well and isn’t eating my hair.I appreciate all the extra padding and the material that gives it airflow at the same time. I don’t think there is a perfectly comfortable carrier, but this is the best one I’ve used.It also seems like it is comfortable for my toddler. I like the added feature that the buckles on the harness for my toddler have a padded flap so they aren’t digging into him.The shoulder straps and waist strap have their own zippered compartment for when it is in storage. I really like this extra feature because I have stored carriers in the garage before for the winter and not loved cleaning it before wearing it in the spring.The flap has its own spot to be stored when in use.I really think they nailed it with the sizes of the extra pockets. They really went as big as you can go without compromising the balance or potential weight. It’s plenty of storage for anything my toddler would need on a hike as well as my own items.Straps adjust easily and fit well.It doesn’t store totally flat. But it will fit under my bed easily.

Got this Osprey child carrier with the plan to take it on hikes with my child, and it is a pretty sweet bag! Osprey is a super high quality brand in general, and this backpack is no different.First off, for usability, it actually took a minute to figure out how to open it up properly, and I thought I was going to break it the first time I snapped stuff into place, but after opening it up and setting it up, it is a pretty cool design and seems pretty robust. I like that it snaps in and you have to make a considerable amount of intentional effort to close it up.In terms of adjustability, it is decent, but it does lack some ability to adjust the shoulder strap to hip strap distance. This can be difficult for people with longer torsos. Coming from a regular hiking backpack (for the act of backpacking trips), having these kinds of adjustments can be very important for maximum comfort. That being said, fortunately, this backpack fits me quite well and is quite comfortable to wear. The padding is on the thinner side on the back and straps, but with overly padded backpacks, they can get quite hot, and I think this one has a good balance. With proper adjustment, most of the load is supposed to go into your hips anyway.Materials are all top tier on this backpack, and I have no doubt that it will last a long time. I like that when it's on the ground, the main contact points are of a durable material rather than just fabric. The sunshade is pretty cool, but I think once your kid is on the larger side, it may be a bit restrictive for their line of sight.The weight limits for this are not very clear to be honest, but I feel like on the lighter side, as long as they can confidently hold their head up and are fill the space they sit in pretty well, I would think it would be fine.For storage. you have some decent options, but not a ton of space. The lower half of the bag has a pretty large pocket that can store some essentials, and then you get a smaller pocket up behind the kid. I like the design, and it seems like it would be pretty comfortable to travel in. The shoe/foot straps are kind silly, and I highly doubt my kid will keep them on for more then a few seconds.When this is folded up, it does take up a good amount of space, but I was able to fold it up and put it in the top of our closet, so it really isn't too bad.Overall, the price for this is very high, but you do get really nice quality. Good straps, good zippers, great design, decent adjustability, and a mostly-comfortable experience.
