It works but I wouldn't recommend for a child because it takes a lot of strength to pull the band back.

Just got it today, and practicing with two dozen pulls. The gadget held up pretty well but i can't vouch for long term use with wear and tear of the rubber tubing. The vendor was conscientious. The first Amazon shipment never arrived at destination, the vendor quickly followed up with a replacement mailed with USPS tracking.

I love the feel of the handle in my hand. I have used plain stretch bands and it doesn't help my bow hand grip. This trainer allows me to focus on my bow hand as well as the rest of my form. The only issue I had was when I released the tube, it hit the fleshy part of my hand between my thumb and index finger and left a hefty welt. I replaced the stiff tubing that came with the trainer with a softer silicone tube which helped a bunch. I use the trainer daily now and it has helped a bunch.
