I'm installing this on the underside of an outdoor railing. adhesion strips won't work on treated lumber and there are only 12 clips for 50 feet of lights. and the clips do not secure tightly so there is considerable sag. would buy more clips is there was any way to reach the manufacturer. but as is the case with stuff from china there is no customer support.

The Tendist strip lights are good quality and very bright. The lights are encased in a protective sheathing. There are clips to mount the lights and zip ties. All the components are good quality and included in the box. No need to purchase anything else to have functioning lights. I like that they plug into an electrical outlet instead of being solar. They are energy efficient. The lights are very bright, and the colors are nice if you desire that feature. We have not installed these yet due to the weather, but we are looking forward to using them around the patio area where some light is needed and solar isn’t practical, especially in the winter. There is an outlet available. The remote works as stated. I will revise if there are any problems with the install.

The 50ft option is a single LED strip with a single plug. I got it to replace the fading rope lights I have used to illuminate my front porch every night for the last two years.If you don’t need 50 ft in one place, there are designated areas where you can safely cut the strip without damaging it and you can contact the company for the necessary adapters/connectors. The waterproof construction and 50 ft length make this strip perfect for wrapping around the entire ceiling of my open-sided front porch and plugging into an exterior wall outlet.The LEDs produce a bright, clear, white light. Using the remote or app, you can easily dim/brighten the light to various levels and adjust the color temperature to achieve your desired ambiance. You can also use the app (but not the remote) to set a timer schedule for the lights and to set different light modes/patterns. When you turn the light off, it will “remember” your last mode setting the next time you turn it on. The remote runs on two AAA batteries (not included) and works well from any direction within several unobstructed feet.The instructions are helpful. The light strip has adhesive tape on the back to allow for tool-free interior installation. However, since I plan to keep this LED strip up permanently outdoors, and use it nightly year-round, I installed it with both the adhesive tape and screws (not included). It was very easy to do so since the kit includes clips/hooks with pre-drilled screw holes and adhesive backs.The 24 month warranty on this strip is a great feature that gives me confidence. I do not currently need the WiFi/smart control features, but those are “nice to haves” in case I ever decide to get a smart assistant.

I used these across the front of my porch on the railings. They went up easily and look good. The app was a bit of a pain to get setup, but once it was, it paired with Alexa easily.
