It's a little louder than my OEM, but it makes ice! It was easy to install. I've had it for several months. It gets a pretty good workout, but keeps up with my family.

This is a perfect fit replacing the broken ice maker. Easy to replace. Two screws, 1/4 inch wrench or socket and a four pin connector that unclips by pressing the two tabs on the side of the clip. A little tight getting both arms in the freezer but if both doors are open it’s manageable. Take note of the position of the white flab that’s attached to the metal arm bar that can raise and lower. It’s packaged in the up position to fit in the shipping box. Flip it to the down position as noted in the picture. When the ice bin fill’s with ice it should sense a full ice bin due to the position of the white flab and the metal arm bar in the up position and stop producing ice as noted of a concern in other reviews. Also note the position of the on off switch,O = offI = onAlso give it time to make ice. Mine wasn’t making ice initially so I shut the refrigerator off for 30 minutes to defrost ice. Another way to defrost your fridge is to press the + and - sign on your temperature display. Hold down both at the same time for about five seconds and your fridge will turn off and the display will read d f signifying defrost. Once defrosted your fridge will turn on automatically. After replacing, the next day I had ice. Hope this review helps everyone. Good luck.

This product fit my refrigerator but has no on/off switch. It worked but for some reason made ice very slowly. I replaced with an OEM product that was 30% more costly but an exact replacement that made ice very quickly. Other reviews talked about this one making lots of ice, but I did not experience that.

Update 7/2/2023: The icemaker had a rhythmic clicking noise when operating. It was assumed that they used a stepper motor. The noise got louder over time. We came home two days ago from work and a significant amount of water was on the floor in front of the refrigerator; opened the freezer and it was a wet and frozen mess from water leakage. Using a blow dryer to remove the items frozen to the shelves, the mess was cleaned up.The icemaker was removed and the frozen, overfilled ice in the tray was melted. The icemaker was reinstalled with an adjustment to the fill screw to reduce the amount of water added. The first batch of ice was a success. Sometime during the second or third batch, water leaked again. My best assumption is that during the ice making cycle the ice is not successfully removed from the tray, water is added for the next batch on top of the previous unejected ice thus overfilling the tray and spilling water into the ice bin and down the left side of the freezer. The icemaker only lasted 7 months.Almost the perfect inexpensive replacement for my Frigidaire Professional side-by-side refrigerator. The only thing missing is the manual advance feature built into the switch of the original ice maker (this is convenient to verify the ice maker is operational and is how I knew a replacement unit was needed). As stated in other reviews, very easy replacement (loosen two 1/4" hex head screws, lift ice maker up and out to expose wiring harness, press sides of 4-conductor plug and pull to disconnect from harness; reverse to install new unit). There is a shield on the bottom of the original ice maker that needs to be slid off and put on the replacement unit.Regarding the negative reviews about the ice maker not shutting down when the ice bin is full. When someone receives a product with no instructions, they should make sure the new unit looks just like the old unit. For shipping purposes, the new unit comes with the plastic extension for the bale switch installed backwards. You need to remove it and install it in the same direction as it is on the old unit. The manufacturer should put a note on it or ship it uninstalled to remove the confusion. Many of the other ice maker options do not come with the plastic extension and expect the customer to reuse the part from the old unit.

Installed easily. Started making ice after about four hours. Very pleased. Did not need to call a repair man.I submitted this original review shortly after the ice maker was installed. However, we have had trouble with this item ever since. The water overflows and the entire inside of our freezer is covered with ice. Please help! The ice maker comes with a one year guarantee. We have intermittently turned the ice maker off, but it starts to leak soon after we turn it back on again. Please help.
