I stopped riding my MTB because the seat and riding positions were so uncomfortable, what my body liked a decade ago had changed. This seat post makes a huge difference, especially when coupled with a more cushioned seat. I needed/ordered the 33.9 size and wondered if it would come with a shim, but the seat post was happily the correct size so I did not need a shim. The ability to adjust the seat angle was very useful and simple to do. I did not adjust the internal spring, it was perfect as shipped for my 6ft. 220lb frame. Connecting to the rails underneath my seat was simple. I read another reviewer share that the hardware on the post could be tuned upside down so the rails on the seat would be installed an inch lower for shorter riders; that's a neat hack, but not necessary for me. It's been a week and I've ridden several miles withot any noises or problems from the post.

Nicely engineered spring system for lessening the impact of bumps on the seat of a bicycle. My bike has built in front suspension, but not back, so this gizmo does the trick. Expansion joints, cracks and even small potholes are no longer something I have to wince while traversing. The adapter that slips into the seat post frame could have been a tad tighter and because of this I really had to crank down on the tightening clamp that holds the seat from swiveling. But once I got the adjustments right, it works like a charm. A bit on the expensive side compared to the cheaper spring posts, but this one works very well, is built like a Swiss watch as far as fit and finish and I anticipate many miles of comfortable riding with it.

works as described, although be aware the spring rate is very stiff more suited for a heaver rider I'm 250 lbs. and i had to adjust the spring almost to the lightest setting to get the right ride, also i ordered the 28.1 mm tube size and they sent a much smaller tube with an adapter, so it works but requires a very tight clamp force to be able to clamp the adapter tight enough to stop the seat from sliding down in the bike or twisting and allowing the seat to turn, aside from those issues it does work, and is a smooth ride once adjusted properly.
