I used this to replace a shock absorbing seat post that was worn out. It worked out quite well. As there are 3 different post diameters and they are relatively small differences please be very sure of your measurement. If your existing post is not marked, then please use the vernier caliper method of measurement. This post was a bit tall for me initially, because when inserted, it hit the frame screw for my water bottle cage. As it is aluminum that was easily fixed with a basic plumbing pipe cutter. If you do need to alter a seat post, just be sure it is still able to be inserted far enough to be stable and safe. Setting the saddle angle took a couple of tries but was quick and easy.

[This review written by my husband the cyclist]: This seat post fit well in my titanium gravel bike & clamped tight. It does seem to provide some suspension & works well with my German made saddle that has an elastomer block in it for added comfort. It is not soft or squishy so I feel no loss of power transferTwo downsides: (1) It is rather heavy, at least 100 gr. more than my lightest post. (2) The front adjustment screw faces up and cannot be adjusted with an Allen wrench if your seat post does not have a cut-out. Most of my seats are open but the one I am currently using has a very wide & deep cut-out, but it is covered by a thin membrane. I had to fiddle a lot going back & forth loosening the rear screw loose enough to pinch and turn with 2 fingers, then retightening the rear screw to check seat angle. My rather expensive Colnago seat post is this way also, but the front screw has a knurled knob.

Sturdy and competitive pricing. The only drawback is the weight but if that’s what you’re looking at you won’t get it at anywhere near this price point!
