This knife has been my daily companion for the past few years, well aside from me losing it a few times and having to by a new one ;)It's the perfect size, has a belt clip but what I LOVE most about it is the release / look button.It makes it so easy to open and close it safely with just one hand which is so pertinent working on our hobby farm. There is nothing worse then having to fumble around with a knife when you have to cut open hay bales or cut a horse out of a hay net feeder. Yes that happens and this knife was a literal life saver in more then one occasion.Bottom line, this is one of the best knifes around and a perfect companion.

Love razor knives. I use this as my everyday pocket knife. I have had several different pocket knives over my lifetime and a friend gave me a razor blade knife years ago and I was hooked since. I ended up loosing that one unfortunately but grabbed this one to replace it. I like that it’s basically a knife with a blade you can change instead of having to have it sharpened or learn how to sharpen yourself. I like a really sharp blade so it’s convenient that I can just flip the blade or change it when it gets dull. I use for everything from farm chores to construction, drywall, flooring, you name it. This knife is nice and sturdy and not flimsy at all like some of the cheaper razor knife options. Plus it folds us like a pocket knife so it’s convenient to carry. I don’t have to constantly search for a razor knife/box cutter. Has a good weight to it so you don’t feel like it’s gunna slip or break but not to heavy that it makes your pants or shirt pocket sag down. I actually gave these as gifts to several of my friends who farm, ranch, and work in the trades. They all seem to love them.

Great knife but I have had the blade come out a few times while cutting multiple layers of cardboard. This is due to the way the blade release is designed, it is very easy to lift it to release the blade.UPDATE: after 2.5 years of LIGHT use on a daily basis i am still overall happy with the knife still loving the handle comfort. However i have noticed that if i flick it open with a high amount of force the blade replacement mechanism opens up and the blade comes out, normally stays in the knife but needs to be pushed back in. I have had it fly across to the other side of the workshop a couple of times.

I saw this on a YouTube review being compare to the Milwaukee equivalent (the video editor narrowly preferred the Milwaukee). His even handed demonstration made me select the Kobalt – like many of his subscribers.I like the ease of operation and the safety of a securely held blade, which folds away. The blades can be changed easily.The string/strap cutter can be accessed while the blade is folded and the compact size means that it is at home in my carryall or in a pocket (it is nestled next to the Bosch blade holder between the pliers and the wrench). It also has a clip to hold it in your pocket.Note that the 10 blades are supplied separately and not stored in the knife. This is not a problem for me as the blade is reversible.
