This feeder works great if you want to take a long weekend, vacation and leave your kitty cat with a full tummy while you were gone.

This is a considerable upgrade. I wish they had this design to begin with. The tray is metal and numbered, making it much easier to schedule meal times with medications.

I am very happy with this. My kitten is only 3 months old and I has been using an automatic feeder with ice packs (which was getting annoying changing them), but this is SO much better. I was hesitant because I saw some negative reviews but I have had no issues with the app or anything. My kitten prefers this feeder because the shape of the bowl and depth is perfect compared to more triangular bowls of other feeders which was harder for him to eat out of, and I think better for preventing whisker fatigue. The app is very easy to use, there is setup videos too if needed. I like that you can set the duration that a slot is open up to 4hrs if your cat likes to graze. Also there is an option for it to continue to ding every 1-5 min for 10 min until they start feeding which is good to make sure they hear it. I will say the design is definitely tall for kittens. I created a step for him to sit on which works perfect. For adult cats the height is perfect. I love the stainless steel bowl too, and I think he prefers it too. Highly recommend and I’m happy I can go away for a night without worrying about anything! Highly recommend

The feeder is useful and functions reasonably well, but the app is terrible and needs a lot of work. First and most importantly, there is currently no way to open a compartment more than once in a day, so if your pet eats more often than once every 24 hours, you have to use two or three compartments to accomplish twice or thrice daily feeds, making only 24 hours of feeding possible. The only way currently to achieve 72 hours as advertised is opening each compartment once in a day, for a maximum of 4 hours per day. Second, there is no way I can see to advance the tray on the device or via the app. Since I’ve had it get confused with a schedule change and I had to manually push the motor around to get it on the right feeding tray. Once it opened the lid but the tray was only half-aligned with the slot. Adding the ability to open each tray multiple times in a day and advancing the tray via the app would go a long way to realizing the full potential of this feeder. I realize some animals will eat everything as soon as the tray opens, but not all pets are like that and having the option to split feeds from one tray in a day is crucial. Third, the manual open option forces you to select a scheduled time, which is hopelessly confusing and ruins the schedule for the day. The manual function should be separate from the schedule and open one time for a chosen duration, e.g. “open now for 30 minutes.” Fourth, there also needs be a way in the app to play the bell sound that signals opening of the tray lid. That would help in training the pet to approach the feeder upon hearing the bell.

The machinery is great and the feeder itself works great but the app is glitchy. It’s easy to set up a schedule but when the time comes for a planned feeding, the machine opens and chimes as expected however the app still says the meal is ‘preparing.’ Then when I click “feed now” it then states the feeding is completed. All the while the timeline is out of order and not correct. Luckily I’ve been home to witness the feeder actually open on time so my cat can feed but it ends up being open way longer than it should due to the glitches.Otherwise it would be a great purchase. My cat fed from it the first time we tried but took a while to get used to it at first.
