We purchased this phone along with the "Panasonic DECT 6.0 Expandable Cordless Phone with Answering Machine and Call Block - 4 Cordless Handsets - KX-TGD394CB (Black)" and found that this unit is not compatible with the 4 Cordless Handset unit, although they are both DECT 6.0 phones. The Bell technician was on site for over 2 hours installing a splitter and finally got our phone system up and running. We ordered it again because we needed another small phone and were shipped an upgraded model. Didn't open it and returned it to receive the model that has already been integrated into our phone system. It obviously had been a return as the batteries were missing and the compartment cover was jammed. The issue was resolved as Amazon on a one-time basis issued a gift card for the cost of purchasing the batteries. Issue resolved!!!

OK a few issues with this phone.Overall quality is there. Panasonic is known for it.I bought this phone for its base unit. Couldn't find a Pansonic phone like this with base alone.Had the cordless handset been made like my 30+ year old cordless Panasonic, I wouldn't have any issues with it.Despite advances in technology over the past 30 years, Panasonic has gone backwards with their cordless phonesas far as EMF's are concerned.I never felt a buzz in my head from my 30+ year-old Panasonic cordless phone or from its base.The buzz I felt from this Panasonic phone and base was so strong (for me) that I have put the cordless back in the box andwon't be using it with the base unit.The only other complaints I have with the phone are:-Inability to turn down the volume below Panasonic's minimum level (which is still loud, especially on speaker phone)this also forced me to turn off call screening, as even at minimum speaker level, calls were waking me upfrom sleep.-The manual was written by some alien, probably from Mars.I had to call customer support several times to ask questions about phone features because the gobbledy-gook manualjust couldn't be deciphered.

I bought this phone last year and I think that it is time that I share my experience with it with any prospective buyers.- I love this phone and the number of telephone numbers that it can block. This is also the main reason why I bought it. Before I bought it I was using two different Panasonic sets but together they could only block 60 numbers. This phone by itself can block I think 250 numbers as well as can block entire area codes. In these days with the constant invasion of privacy and the continuous pestering by Telemarketers, for the people like us that still use analog telephones having the ability to block so many numbers, is such a blessing. Since I started using it I have already blocked 72 numbers and over 20 area codes to stop those parasites that call themselves Telemarketers and call it a profession from bothering my household despite my phone number being on the so called National "Do Not Call List".- I like the features that it provides, the range and the sound quality- On the other hand, the hands free speaker of the wireless phone, isn't very loud and sometimes it can be hard to hear or understand the caller especially if there is background noise.- Similarly the display of the wireless phone isn't very legible when you are looking at it in a dark room.But overall this is a great phone to have and I have not had any issues with it since I bought it.
