I love this wireless barcode scanner. Not only does it scan UPC codes, but it displays the code on the built-in LCD display. You can upload the scanned codes to your computer later using a USB cable or wirelessly.I use this to make and update an inventory of my library of paperback books. It has a 1200 mAh battery, which lasts for 8 hours of runtime and recharges in 3-4 hours. To change the settings, you have to use the booklet of barcodes that came with it. So, don't lose that booklet!

Don't lose the booklet... or this is useless. It has all the barcodes you need for this device to function. I will say, one positive is the screen so you can verify what has been entered.

While not as versatile as a dedicated handheld scanner, this little scanner is lightweight, simple to use and setup, and has a decent range if connected to a computer. While you don't need an IT department to setup the scanner, you do need the little booklet of barcodes to change settings on the scanner so be sure to not lose the manual. The little screen is handy, as you can double-check the number/code that was scanned. It is not the fastest scanner - there are times when it won't scan so you need to do the little dance where you move the scanner closer/farther to get that scan. The laser line is not a crisp red line, but kind of a blurry red linear blob. It does do well on curved surfaces, and on soft packages where the barcode is distorted. I have been able to get it to scan a barcode off of a laptop screen and a phone screen with the brightness turned up. It does not scan QR codes. This little scanner would work well in a small business or small library and is handy for taking inventory without lugging around a laptop or smartpad. While the scanner has survived some drops from about shoulder height, I don't think it would be tough enough for a more industrial environment.

This is an operational bar code scanner that works on some of the standard barcodes. It has the dongle to connect like a keyboard, but the configuration requires scanning specific barcodes that's included in the manual. My thinking really is that as portable and handy it is, the practical side is that this is very limited to which codes it can use. The complex configuration using the barcodes in the manual isn't unusual, but I've found it so complicated and other devices support much more for the same price. It may be a decent product but I'd go for more support.

This scanner scans well and is fairly accurate with reading the correct numbers. Battery life is good and the size is convenient, fits in my pocket. I wish there was a good free data logging app or that a scanner came with an app option. I’m new to all this and using it with excel or notebook which has been a semi pain.
