Works like stated and expected! Ideal for quick protein breakfast. I do a combination of 20 second intervals when I open up the pieces and do 4 eggs! Easy clean when use butter or oil spray. Bought another one after my daughter-in-law used it and loved it. Hoping my teen grandkids might eat a better breakfast!

Easy to use. I've got it down to a routine. Spray a dab of oil, spread it around, put in bacon bits and cheese, add egg, pierce yoke, and put in microwave for 110 seconds. Comes out perfect every time. Egg pops out of the poacher and super easy to clean. I've had mine for years, but recently purchased more for family members. They all love them.

Was 3 stars, but after I typed out my thoughts, nah, 4 stars. Maybe even 4.5.I've tried 4 different microwave egg poachers. The first two were unsatisfactory. Model #3 has been great, got two and use 'em all the time. Wanted to get a couple more and got the dreaded "currently unavailable, don't know when/if it will be back in stock". So, scrolled thru a bunch more and got this one,The Good News:--It works. Actually works a bit better than my others, i.e., the eggs actually come out a bit better.--It's incredibly simple. The Bad News:--The hinges are terrible. This is made of a SOFTER type of hard plastic, so the plastic-on-plastic hinges lock up all the time. I initially thought "Well, maybe it's not supposed to open flat", but if it didn't it would be unusable. So, I squeezed the hinges together and "voila", it opened . . . only to immediately lock up again when I tried to close it. That's a non-starter.Soooooooo . . . did a little critical thinking. This thing doesn't seal airtight -- none of the 4 I've used do. But it doesn't need to seal to work. So . . . I just cut the hinges off. The top and bottom (The bottom is differently shaped and is obviously designed to be the bottom) still mate perfectly and I have gotten nothing but great eggs. I'm actually going to buy another one.Go figure.I've read a number of the other reviews and I had pretty much all the same problems, but I decided to see if I could work around the hinges. Turns out I could. There is probably the perfect microwave egg poacher out there somewhere, and I'm still gonna look for it. This one isn't "the one", but, frankly, as I modified it, it's pretty darn close.

I first came across this in a drawer at an AirB&B.It was in a large zip lock bag with the tag and instructions.Had I not read the instructions I wouldn't have had a clue what it was for.I was skeptical of cooking an egg in a microwave - but with no non-stick pans in sight I thought I would give it a shot. It worked like a charm - and two days later I had one ordered on Amazon. Perfect for making eggs benny, or egg mc'mufin things. No clean up required other than a quick rinse. 1min and your done. It seriously is that simple and good.Way way better than the iron rings I had been using at home. Which always are hot, have some caked on egg residue even after being sprayed with non-stick stuff.I have also used this to cook eggs, and then dice for a salad. I think I would still want to hard boil an egg and slice if I wanted it to look pretty on a plate but for most days this does the trick.
