Cómo medir tus filtros de aire para un ajuste y filtración perfectos
Conoce el tamaño de tu filtro de aire AC/Horno
El tamaño de tu filtro de aire debe estar impreso en el lateral de tu filtro actual. Localiza el tamaño original y el tamaño real (¡esto importa!)
El tamaño nominal se redondea al número entero más cercano (por ejemplo: 20 x 25 x 5), pero el tamaño real suele tener fracciones o decimales para mayor precisión. Utiliza este número para verificar el tamaño correcto del filtro de aire para tu unidad.
Elige tu filtración MERV
MERV es una clasificación de filtro que se ha establecido como el estándar de la industria. Cuanto más alto sea el MERV, mayor será la filtración.
Ten en cuenta los límites de tu sistema HVAC. Mayor MERVS, puede requerir sistemas de servicio más pesado, o incluso de grado industrial. Un MERV 14, por ejemplo, puede abrumar o dañar un sistema residencial más débil. Solo tú eres responsable de conocer las recomendaciones de tu sistema.
Preguntas frecuentes sobre hornos y filtros de aire
¿Dónde encuentro el tamaño de mi filtro de aire?
Localiza el filtro: Encuéntralo cerca del sistema de admisión o HVAC; consulta tu manual si es necesario. Apaga el sistema: Apaga siempre el sistema HVAC antes de quitar el filtro. Retira y comprueba el tamaño: Busca el tamaño nominal y real impreso en los lados. Mide la ranura del filtro: Utiliza una cinta métrica para registrar la longitud, el ancho y la profundidad de la ranura si no hay tamaño visible.
¿Cómo saber la diferencia entre el tamaño nominal y real de tu filtro de aire?
Tamaño nominal: Las dimensiones redondeadas o el tamaño anunciado (por ejemplo, 20 x 25 x 1); no las medidas exactas. Tamaño real: Mide para encontrar la longitud, el ancho y el grosor precisos; generalmente varía de 1/4"-1/2" a tamaño nominal. Confirma: Verifica ambos tamaños en la etiqueta del producto y mide para garantizar un ajuste adecuado para tu sistema HVAC.
¿Cuándo debo cambiar mis filtros de aire?
Cada 30-90 días: Reemplaza los filtros cada 1 a 3 meses, dependiendo de la calidad del aire y el tipo de filtro de tu hogar. Para personas alérgicas: Cambia los filtros cada 30 días para mantener un aire limpio y sin alérgenos. Propietarios de mascotas: Reemplaza los filtros cada 60 días para manejar el pelo de las mascotas y la caspa de manera efectiva. Uso estacional: Comprueba los filtros antes de las estaciones altas, como verano o invierno, para un rendimiento óptimo de HVAC. Casas de uso pesado: Para hogares con alto tráfico o múltiples ocupantes, cambia los filtros cada 30-45 días.

These filters are sturdy and well made. They were the correct size and easy to install. They work well and buying them in a case allows me to have them on hand and not have to drive a long distance just to get one when needed.

We installed our first of these filters recently. It installed easily, is a good fit for our furnace, and seems to work well.One negative; on opening the box we found all the filters damaged on one corner. My bad for not checking them on arrival and too late to return for replacements. We were able to ‘straighten’ them out before use but I recommend checking the condition on arrival before installing.
