I'm an electrical engineer, and have had more than a couple of relays apart in my 40+ years in the business. I generally dissect dead ones that I replace to learn what caused the failure when time allows. Because of this I have a pretty good idea what to look for in a quality (or not-so quality) relay.I disassembled one of these (needed the base to build a piece of test gear), and found they are well made relays. Here is what I found (photos attached) - real copper coil windings on a plastic insulated spool, adequate sized contacts, completely sealed with generous amount of adhesive at each pin and around the perimeter of the cover. The braid which connects the moveable contact is made from heavy guage fine strand copper, is made from REAL copper (no cheap "CCA" or copper-clad-aluminum - avoid this stuff at all cost - it's junk), and is welded on at both ends, not crimped. The frame is heavy guage plated steel with a phosphor bronze leaf spring (non-current carrying for long life) These look like they will last a long time in a rough enviroment (like a boat or undercar). Use a little silicone dielectric grease on the pins when installing and you should be good for years. The tabs are tin plated brass, not cheap steel which is resistive and tends to rust. I should point out that this part number doesn't include a noise suppression diode or resistor, and shouldn't be used where the old relay was so equipped, or in a new installation without adding this protection to the socket. The noise spikes generated by the coil when any unprotected relay turns off can interfere with or even damage sensitive electronics in nearby circuits. if you're new to this sort of thing, a quick search online will explain the noise supression thing.Hope this helps, time precludes a lot of reviews, but I like to do good ones when I decide to. In this case I felt the product worthy, and it was indeed a surprise what I found inside a "cheap auto relay".All in all good quality relays, the Nilight 50043R 10pack is an outstanding deal at it's price point and with a 2 year warranty, I would suggest these are the relay to stock for anyone doing Marine, Auto or Truck repairs and installations.

I bought this relay to put on my Chevy Truck for some new 10" Electric Radiator fans. I live in the Desert and it gets pretty hot around here. When I run the AC at an Idle the AC was struggling. So I added these fans and I needed a good relay to handle the amps and not get wet. This relay does the trick. So far I have had no problems and the AC works like a charm. One thing I did notice is that the picture shows a metal bracket and the one I got was just plastic. I would have preferred one with a metal bracket but oh well. Other than that it does what it should. I hope it last as only time will tell.UPDATE 9-9-13: Well it has been a year and this little relay is still going strong. Arizona heat has nothing on this relay.....UPDATE: 1-1-2015 So here we are over two years and this thing still rocks.

The good thing about it it have a built-in fuse which make life easier, and a relief of the wiring hassle. So far no issues with the relay.
