Yes it's a very very good od distortion pedal. I now believe it's worth the money....Put evh on it goes up silly times what a pedal like this should go for but you know what, it's so worth it.I've had a few days now with this and it's became a totally invaluable addition. It functions as so much on my board, od a d a distortion. The eq is actually sensitive too and very noticeable as you tweak it.The gate is very useful and works well from any noise from this pedal. There can be a slight delay for it activing the lower its set but even set right up I didn't notice any clipping or tone/attack deficiency which is really great!I have my gain set at about 10-11o clock as that's honestly it needs when stacked with my box of rock and boost.It stacks well with other pedals and the boost is decent too. Not like a stand alone boost would be I wouldn't expect that. But it does boost and just nicely noticeable!It's layout is easy to use and I like the mids and treble on it. I keep the bass low when I'm using the les PaulThis one of them classic rock pedals where you really don't need a lot of gain at all to get gain if you get me lol... Low is plenty. You're getting ACDC sounds from around 10-11 o clock... Which is nice as less noise but like I said, that gate works a wonder, how they did it cranked as high as it will go, without killing sustain tone or attack is beyond me!Is it worth £215 No. £185 yes. JUST. I got mine for £185, I'm keeping for sure as it's exactly what I needed and wanted sound wise and that in itself can be worth it. ..but come on, not everyone is blessed to have that kind of money to spend so meet half way guys. But bare in mind it isn't JUST an OD pedal, it's working as OD, dist, has a great gate and a mild boost in it too....and more sound shaping with an EQ ontop of all that... Plus it looks cool and is solidly built.The gate light does glow too which is nice on stage! Boost doesn't and is a little hard to tell if it's on or not and isn't accessible by foot (it's a tiny tiny button!) so if you're unsure on stage, before you start check it's status as it isn't particularly obvious if it's on or off! they need to add a light to the boost as well though for this lol.100% love it and will keep and treasure it. Sounds super sexy and beast with my zvex vertical box of rock!PS no I don't keep my pedals like the Pic lol... I'm swapping to a new board and am Inbetween moving them, so calm down lol.

Wonderful pedal. Be aware though, input level makes a huge difference to the sound and the way the pedal reacts. I’d advise putting some kind of booster / attenuator in front of it if your guitar signal is either unusually hot or weak. Sound-wise can’t fault it.

Más que un overdrive es una distorsion muy buena, cruje muy delicioso y conserva mucho la nitidez. Definitivamente tiene que estar en mi pedalboard.

Me encantó!!!! Como dicen en cuanto lo conectas suena al ampli original, sin embargo es muy versátil en cuanto a sonidos high gain. Con este pedal puedes tocar Van Halen, Metallica, Green Day, básicamente lo que quieras

I am amazed how how much power this pedal has and how versatile, I don't even use my distortion pedal anymore... plus the buit in noise gate is super easy to use, pair this with the EVH wah and you cant go wrong

Tiene un sonido brutal, con unas buenas settings logré sácale el Brown sound. Sin duda no me arrepiento, hizo que mi amplificador sonara mucho más brutal.

I also have a slide rig deluxe mk 2 anda Bugera T50 Infinium (using clean channel only now)I tell you this because the chase for these soundstook me 30 years, maybe I can help someone elseout.The ts9's and 808's do absolutely nothing for my earsat getting this sound, here's what you need imo;Tube amp, should be decent , doesn't need to be Boutiquejust decent, a solid state or digital amp is not likely going tocover it.-This evh pedal or a Friedman be od , (but I give the edge to the (evh).-Slide Rig or equal , to give that little polish over the top, I think thisSlide rig is basically a high tech, expensive compressor, might notget the sound with a cheap compressor, not sure on that.Oh yes, a decent set of speakers, I'm using Bad Cat Patriot 2x12''s buthave a 412 cabinet with celestion vintage 30's I need to try that , itwill probably be better.There so much bs out there on youtube with people trying to sellyou stuff to get these tones, I have tried every pedal imaginable,usually little distortion pedals and overdrives, it wasn't till I spenda gob of money on these EVH and Slide rig pedals that I got thissound nailed.I did have a line six pod go, that was 'close' , running into my tubeamp, but nothing like what I have now.You can skip some pedal quality if you can run your goodtube amp dimed all the time, but most of us can't do that lol...I don't think you will ever get that quality sound with the cheaper80 to 100 dollar pedals, I have like 600 dollars now in justtwo pedals lol, but could have saved a lot more than that, had I knownthis is what I needed.I needed something for slide, the slide rig does that in spades, I triedthe SSS , it did nothing for me, now what is odd , is that the EVHPedal gives me most of what I need for single note leads andchording, but the slide rig adds a big touch of class and fatness to theoverall picture while not using slide.Also I should note that you need a single coil pup in the neck to getthe SRV Duane Allman , Dicky Betts etc sound, a strat works for that ,and doesn't have to be Fender, just a good strat with single coil , neck,then sometimes if using wah pedal , a hot rails in the bridge is ok orbetter than single coil , depending on taste.One more note on this pedal, what is incredible with this pedal is theoverdrive itself, when you only turn the gain up to like 7 or 8 oclockwhich means very little gain, this sets the base for that huge, clear, thunk thunk thatyou want for srv etc, but you can also turn the gain up for Classic Rockand achieve a high quality sound, I can't speak for today's metal, but it probablygets pretty close on that as well.This pedal is now essential to my sound, I may get a second one as this istrue bypass, and I would like to have a spare as well as be able to switchbetween classic rock and blues, without having to kneel down and fiddlewith the gain knob. It would have been cool to have that channel switchingoption, but really not a big deal, the pedal would have cost more andtake up more valuable space on a pedal board.I didn't realize this was made by MXR, a product that I never gravitatedto in the past, but truly this pedal is out of the park good imo. ..Props to the late EVH for his collaboration (I guess he did) on this pedal,really a great pedal.

No había probado pedales MXR. Pero puedo decir que cumple la expectativa de costo beneficio. Si eres amante del sonido ochentero y EVH por supuesto este pedal con la ganancia que tiene logras ese sonido sin problema y los armónicos son fáciles de hacer. Solo me hace falta un Phaser y completo los efectos necesarios de los sonidos del Gran Eddie (RIP). Es un legado el que dejo con su técnica y que contribuyo para lograr muchas cosas buenas. Dios te bendiga Eddie donde estés.

Un gran producto cumple con lo que promete cuenta con una gran calidad de sonido y un diseño muy interesante y también es muy versátil y el gate que quita el ruido es muy útil lo único malo es que mi pedal no funciona con una pila de 9v tengo que conectarlo a la fuente de poder pero fuera de eso funciona todo muy bien lo recomiendo mucho.

Estaba indeciso entre este pedal y el Suhr Riot. Compré ambos. El 5150 me parece que da mejor tono, como si estuviera ahí presente. Tengo otro pedal (Marshall Jackhammer, de $750) y daba la impresión de que el sonido estuviera detrás de una puerta, este es todo lo contrario.Las perillas de ecualización ofrecen versatilidad, desde rock clásico, hasta metal, el gain es suficiente incluso si lo colocas a las 3:00. Lo probé con el Micro Terror de Orange y su gabinete de 1x8, suena bastante decente, aunque temo decir que si el MC hubiera tenido high gain, quizá descartaría este mismo pedal, el tono de gain del MC se escucha aún más presente, pero es más inglés. De todos modos, como decía, con las perillas se puede lograr un nivel similar de presencia.El boost remarca todo lo ecualizado, me parece que todo lo hace más nítido, pero mete mucho ruido sobre todo si el Gain está alto. Para eso existe el noise gate, el cual se agradece enormemente, ya que el zumbido se apaga mucho. A veces al atacar la primera nota con el gate activado, no se escucha el ataque de la plumilla, o incluso si tocas con suavidad no se escucha, pues es evidente para atenuar el zumbido, el gate baja el volumen y en cuanto detecta un sonido fuerte, lo quita hasta que vuelva el silencio, esto podría representar un gran problema para quienes usen muchos matices, sobre todo en vivo.En resumen: Sonido 9 (la distorsión del Riot me gustó más, por que aquel es ligeramente más limpio, pero el tono del 5150 es mucho mejor y ligeramente más versátil).Accesibilidad 8 (fácil de configurar y obtener cualquier sonido, se hubiera agradecido que el noise gate tuviera un switch para presionar con el pie así como el boost).Construcción: 8 (es sólido, el problema es que la cavidad para la batería de 9v resalta del fondo, cuando lo pisas, se resbala, unas gomitas en las esquinas o dejar la cavidad al ras de la placa de abajo hubiera sido lo ideal)Lo recomiendo ampliamente

Anteriormente tuve el pedal Boss Metal Core ML-2 y el EHX Metal Muff with Top Boost y puedo decir que ninguno de estos se compara con el gran sonido que tiene este pedal. Su costo es aproximadamente el de estos dos pedales juntos, pero vale cada centavo ya que no suena nada falso como estos. Tampoco suena como el verdadero cabezal EVH 5150, pero la calidad de su Overdrive/Distorsión es mucho más real que cualquier efecto externo que haya probado antes, así que creo que es lo mejor que podemos conseguir para un buen Gain al menor costo.
