Very easy to assemble. Just unfold and set up. It's sturdy for baby chicks. Not sure about kittens or puppies.I used zip ties on the sides so it wouldn't shift closed. Because it's made to fold back up as it was to unfold.I have 12 baby chicks. They're 3 weeks old. They grew out of the large dog wire crate that I used with 1/4 hardware cloth attached to all sides. They are really liking thus set up. They're at the let's flutter our new feathers on our wings stage. So they're running around and flapping around. There's room for feed, water and grit.I used a bar to hang the heat lamp. (Got heat lamp from Amazon too. I love it. It has a high and low setting) I like it much better than the clamp heat lamp. The only con I have is you will need to improvise a floor for this. I used drywall that was left over I had, put that inside heavy construction bags. Then, I put puppy pads over that. Then, put the pine mini shavings on one side. Now, if you have curious cats or and dogs, I'd suggest using the cardboard box this shipped in, cut in half and put on each side. And, find other cardboard to help cover the 3 sides. Leaving one side open. (If you want) I also put aluminum foil on top because cats hate the feel of aluminum foil. It definitely deters their wanting to go on top of the pen. That's just what I have done. Because my cats thought they had hit the jackpot and I couldn't of thought of a better gift than 12 chirping chicks. So, squirter bottle, saying no, aluminum foil and the cardboard helped. It doesn't look pretty but it works.Pics are of when I used dog crate, this new pen, the light I bought also from Amazon. It's about 4 ft by 4 ft by 36 in.Seems easy to clean. Top part lifts up and folds up over back top section. Can reach in, clean, check the chicks, add water and feed.It also has a side door, if you'd rather use that.It has small cage fencing on it. Not the 1/4 hardware cloth. But, still small.Just don't forget to figure what you'll use for your floor before it arrives.

Poor quality, fell apart, gates come open even when it’s locked, my chickens got out all the time.

I liked that it was easy to assemble, easy to transport around the farm, and fairly large. It would handle an adult duck or maybe two and we kept moving it around with two dozen ducklings sharing it for the first two weeks of their lives. It is very light so not predator proof though so be careful about that.

We have an indoor pet quail that likes his outdoor play time. We keep him in this pen while outside for a couple of hours during the day sometimes. It keeps him safe from predators while still allowing him to soak up some rays and get some fresh air.Love how portable it is and how easy it is to put together and put away. It folds up and takes little to no space in our shed.I would definitely not recommended leaving this outside, and it’s not strong enough to use as a permanent outside hutch as it’s super light and not fully predator proof. If you’re looking for an outdoor playpen for your small critters during the day, I highly recommend this pen. We absolutely love it!

Love this! Wish I found it years ago!Easy to take up and down, just folds ! Size is big, spacious, great for my bantam chicks even now at 5 weeks old it’s still big enough to hold 6 with no issues. Tall enough also. Not tall enough for large chickens or birds that grow big but for the bantys it is perfect. Nice sturdy wood design. Awesome quality. I do recommend for people who incubate like I do. I really love this.Value for money is way worth it.No missing parts. It’s one unit that you pull up to open and folds up to close. So easy. Watch the video . Awesome product.
