I saw an older version of this exact bench grinder at an antique store for $60, so when I saw this on Amazon for half that price new, I had to get it. It clamps well to my wooden bench and it runs smooth. The paint is bright with just one little chip, probably from shipping (light bubble wrap in a standard Amazon shipping envelope). I plan to replace the plastic handle with a wooden one ( like the old version of this grinder I saw). Worth the price.

The red coating was chipped, and the gridding stone is way way too rough, totally useless

Good product. A little on the wobbly side for precision work, but it does exactly what it should. I use it for sharpening paint scrapers and random other things, and I foresee it doing its job for a long time. It's even kinda pretty. :)
