Used this and a small battery pack to make a pointer for my CNC plasma cutter. Works well.

I bought this to mount to my laser head. I printed a mount to fit the laser. Wired it to a USB plug. This laser has a spring behind the diffraction lens, which keeps tension. So, after its mounted you can adjust the focus of the cross pattern to a pretty fine line. The laser light in the photo is to bright to get a decent picture makes the line appear wider than it is - So far this laser works great for my purpose.

These were so much brighter than I expected. The replacement for out alignment crosshair is over $500 from, and our last one barely lasted a year. We will gladly replace these a couple of times a year for that price difference.My only complaint is that the positive wire was barely soldered on the inside of 2 of the units, so be very careful not to pull it out during install. They worked fine but separated too easily.

I ordered these to act as a laser aiming point on my plasma table. They don't have what you'd call a sharp focus, but when dialed in as good as they can be it works fine for me. I'm pleased with the results and they are a good bargain.
