The original builder's lights were 3000K, these are much brighter and more realistic daylight color of 4000K. Easy to install too.

I had to replace an obsolete Generations 14340S-15 assembly that went bad and was very concerned about a replacement because of the risk of the base outer diameter not matching and having to repaint the ceiling. (If you've ever tried to replace one of these it's a big pain to remove because of a tight mounting system that always leaves a circular scar in the paint.)These are a wonderful replacement! Once I wrestled the old assembly off this replacement went up in 10-15 minutes, and the outer dimension was a match - covering the scar from the old assembly perfectly. And the mounting system to the electrical box is a vast improvement over the old system, so when these need replaced in the future they should be a snap to do.A great product at a very reasonable price!

Very easy to install and cheaper than the name brands. Hopefully they will last a long time.

So, my house was hit by lighting and all my LED lights went out. I called an electrician he wanted to charge $25 per light replacement and have me get the lights. Or, he would charge $60 per light and he would bring the lights. I was shocked to say the least. The local orange store had the lights at almost $30 each!!I removed one light and began my search on amazon. The lights that my house had were K I C H L E R brand, they were OK lights, not as bright as one would expect but I thought that's how they were. When I ordered these lights I noticed that the diameter where the LEDs and the clear lens were located were smaller than my originals but the holes for installation where the same. 4 inches apart. I took a chance and ordered them.Sure enough they were at my house the next day. I took a deep breath and installed the first one. It went without a hitch, easy install, $25 dollars my A##$$ lol. Man, when I turned on the light I was shocked, super bright! I was so happy. I compared both lights and I noticed that, although the original lights in my house had bigger lens, the LED array was way smaller than these lights. Of course these lights were also 1k stronger than the originals. But I was skeptical since the lens area was so much smaller.I went ahead and installed the first 8 lights that I received and I ordered more. Now some of my rooms that had dim lighting are so bright now! I love it. I cannot tell you what the durability is for these lights but I promise I will revisit this review a year from now. Buy them, you won't be disappointed.

I just got these (8pk/4000k) and installed 4 in my room. No clue on the quality yet, but they lit up to my expectations and even worked with a leviton dimmer (dsl06).I am mainly posting this review right now to share the pictures that I wondered about before I ordered these particular lights. The pictures show the size of the over all light with trim, the size of the LED array, the halo when dimmed (not sure how dim), and the wiring on the back.There is no UL sticker, but THERE IS an ETL sticker, no damp location sticker, however the instructions say damp/wet location approved as long as you silicon around it. The instructions mention a 5 year limited warranty
