Lock seemed sturdy and like it would work great. I liked the 3D printed cap. However it does not fit between the xt2 mount and the windshield of a 890 adventure S. I'm sure it would work great on the R.

Well. Tried installing this in so many ways. Doesn’t prevent anything. Can just take the CT2 off no matter how much it’s locked. And - no instructions. Being returned immediately.

The lock works great. There aren't any instructions so here's what you have to do.1.Before putting it on, take the plates apart and lock it. Then, tighten the nut on the lock. Put the plates back together. Lock then unlock it several times to make sure it's smooth.2. The plates go between the back plate attachment on the Garmin and the Garmin electrical hookup plate.3. Install using the provided bolts. They're longer than the ones that come with the Garmin. If you lose any of the provided nuts or washers, don't worry, because the original ones fit the new bolts.4. Put it all together. Make sure it is unlocked before you install the Garmin device. After installation, test the lock.
