When I first unboxed this, the little magnet that's supposed to keep it on your fridge popped off. The little dot of glue was just too brittle. Superglued it back on, but I really should have used another, stronger magnet, because the one it comes with is very marginal. For exmaple, while it would it on the fridge, it would scoot down every time the fridge door was opened, until it's at the bottom. Luckily, I had another button magnet that was bigger and more powerful - a little superglue and back in business!So then the first time I actually used it - to pop the top off a bottle of root beer - when I pulled that lever out, the hinge pin fell out. Yup, that pin is just friction-fit, no glue or screws or anything; so it can just fall out. Superglue to the rescue again - just a little dab on both ends of the hinge pin, without getting any on the inside. There's another hinge pin holding the corkscrew, so I went ahead and pre-emptively superglued that as well.But after all that superglue, though, it sure does look good on the fridge! Plus it works great - both as a bottle opener and as a corkscrew. While it's easy to find a flat can-opener style bottle opener with a magnet, it's difficult to find a waiter's-style corkscrew with a magnet.I know that sounds like a bad review, but really, it's just a few dabs of superglue and no reason this item can't do the job I bought it for: a good-looking tool with a bottle opener and corkscrew handy on the fridge at all times. So if you like the way it looks, go ahead and buy it! It works great. Just make sure to get a little tube of superglue and apply it where I mentioned.Just treat it as "some assembly required", and you'll be happy.
