I purchased these to display vintage action figures/dolls from the Marx Toy company. The Johnny West and other lines of these vintage dolls have hard plastic bodies in various shapes, and also have accessories from hard and soft plastics. These stands worked great! For some, I could secure around the doll’s waist. For others, I could secure around the neck or under the arms. The stands are innocuous, from a visual standpoint. They are solid and make for a very stable foundation. Bumping into the shelf, none fell. The metal riser offers a great deal of flexibility and functionality for height and thickness of the doll.

The description read: "For small waisted fashion dolls like Barbies". I was so happy to read that, after looking at (and sometimes buying) so many stands that looked like they would work but didn't. These stands are heavy and stable; they adjust for height and have a small ring, just right for Barbies and FR dolls. Well worth the higher price.

I'm 30 years old, and I collect dolls. So what if that makes me some type of delinquent or adult-child, I love the Monster High line (what an absolutely creative, if age-inappropriate, line!), Bratz/Bratzillaz (same note), and almost any superheroine doll! And since I'm not in debt and haven't used my dolls to create an uprising, I think I'm doing fine. The problem, as many collectors are aware, is that some dolls do not come with stands in the packaging. So unless you want your girls to lean drunkenly against the shelf or wall (always attractive!), you have to find an alternative.I really scoured Amazon to find something for my dolls, when I found these. I wasn't even 100% certain they would work, because the reviews were unclear. But I assure you, I have used them for my dolls and they DO WORK and well! And to help my fellow collectors, here are the dolls I used these successfully with so you can know in no uncertain terms, if these work for you:+ Monster High dolls: Purrsephone and Meowlody, Howleen and Clawdeen+ Bratzillaz: Carolina Past, Angelic Sounds, Victoria Antique+ Star Wars Episode I Queen Amidala dolls: Hidden Majesty, Royal Elegance, Ultimate HairALL these dolls fit perfectly fine in the stands. The werecat dolls (Purrsephone and Meowlody) were a bit of a challenge with their tails, and the Amidala dolls were thicker around the middle, but the stands were fully accommodating. I actually like the stands better than the ones the Monster High dolls come with, as there is more adjustment in them than the black MH stands (where I feel I'm going to break the plastic trying to wrestle that teenie circle around Toralei's waist).Posing in the stands is also great. Once you get your doll secured (and she will be quiet nicely secured!), move her arms into position and POW! About the "worst" problem is that yes, the round bottom means you can't pack them as closely together as you might want (for a nice girl selfie pose), but I'd rather have my dolls standing tall than in a drunken frat party selfie pose.I have not tried these stands on male dolls, nor any beyond the list above (and definitely not the Bratz "I'm inexplicably taller!" line). If I do, I will update this review with my findings, so that my fellow collectors can make an informed choice on purchasing this. But based on my incomplete findings, if you collect Monster High or Bratz, these stands will work perfectly for your dolls!UPDATE 06/13/14: I have used these for Siernna Calmer and Illiana Honesty. Siernna fit nicely and stands well, but Illiana is much more difficult, as she's wearing a cropped top. So far, she's been the only doll that doesn't fit very well in the stands.Brought to you by:*C.S. Light*
