This was a beautiful door handle, but exactly 2 weeks after the warranty expired (2 months) it broke and would no longer latch. I would maybe understand after 1 yr but 2 months??!! Bad purchase

I put off reading this review, because I want to add a photo, but here I am again without one. We have a wood-look door this handle looks amazing. I don’t know why I assumed it had a lock and a deadbolt, but it just has a deadbolt. Something to consider if that’s important to you. The deadlocks the most important part and it does have a lock on the deadbolt. I’m just used to having a lock, one for the handle and one for the deadbolt. Meanwhile, I feel safe with this and it looks absolutely stunning.

I was replacing a 20 year old door handle that was weathered and dated. The good:Heavy duty handle. Feels like it’s expensive. The bad:Installation required a lot of McGyuvering. The top deadbolt was super easy. The bottom latch was where I had troubles. First the latch is not flush (see the pic with the latch lined up against the level edge) and I had to hammer the thing to straighten it out to mount flush with the door. Second, the inside part to the latch has two little pointed pieces at the edges in the middle of it. In order to mount that on the inside flush you need to create holes in the door. But I think it will not move once installed. And third, in the couple of the images here on Amazon it wasn’t clear that the bottom of the latch requires a hole drilled through the entire door to put a screw from the inside. My old one did not have that. I also don’t like that look much. So I drilled the hole ¾ of the way into the outside of the door deep enough for the peg to slide into the door from the outside. I squeezed super glue into the hole then inserted the metal peg into it. Time will tell if that will stay secure or not.Overall, it was a huge improvement from the old handle.
