Purchased these to extend DVI ports from computer to projector just over 50 feet away. Purchased 100ft CAT6 cables to go along with it along with new DVI cables. All of the DVI cables checked out for direct connection so inserted the IOGear modules. All I needed was 800x600, but what I got was a green streak across the top 1/4 of the screen and lots of random noise pixels near places where the were edges on the screen, i.e. program boundaries, the mouse, and such. Took it home to try on laptop with Asus flat pane monitor and the monitor would recognize that there was something there, but would timeout and say DVI No Signal. Not even a blip of an image. I'm sure the laptop was trying to go full res at 1920x1080 so that just probably made the problem worse.CAT6 cables checked out well as network cables so I don't think they're at fault, though I don't have a cable tester for CATx cables.I did try all 8 of the EQ settings on the receiver with the exact same results. While the product claims 165ft, 100ft was too much for it. Sad cause I've used a fair amount of stuff from IOGear before without issue.I never tried the audio, didn't need it, but considering video extension is the main point, don't think it really matters now.
