Well, it's about winch strap, it's a perfect size and functions like it's supposed to. It's a good build quality and very durable. It's very easy to use and install and it's a perfect safety when strapped for my boat..

This review is for the GEELLI 2" X 20ft Boat Winch Strap with Hook, 10000 lbs Boat Trailer Winch Strap. The strap is intended as a replacement for a boat trailer winch. For that I think it'll work fine, since it'll be used for a relatively short distance and likely won't approach 10,000 lbs load except for the last couple of feet after the boat has stopped pushing itself up the skids. Many of the reviews mention using it to tow vehicles or use it off road. For that purpose I don't think I'd trust this strap. The material is fairly thin and it only has a hook on one end. Tying a loop in one end would lead to a stress concentration, which would further reduce the load capacity. If you want to use this to secure your boat on the trailer, go for it. If your intended use is for towing, just buy a tow strap, which are built much more heavily and have stitched and reinforced loops or hooks.

I am reviewing the 2" black winch strap. This seems to be a nice nylon web strap for your boat winch, made of the same stuff seat belts are. The material looks great and I have no reason to believe it's not great quality. It measures 2" wide, as advertised. The stitching looks great and the hook seems as good as my original. Hard to tell if this can handle 10,000lb, or the load cap 3,300lb, but most boat trailer winches can only do 2,000lb or so.I only have one thing that gives me reservation for my particular use case. My original strap is sun fading and needs to be replaced, but it is 0.048" thick, whereas this one is about 25% thinner, 0.039". It would probably be fine, but if this is the only thing holding my 5,000lb boat to my trailer, I want to know I didn't skimp on it. For me, going with a beefier strap is cheap insurance... even if that 25% of extra thickness just means that when it's old and sun faded it still won't fail and give me every opportunity to notice and replace it before it breaks.
