We love to fondue & I have several fondue pots. The problem with regular pots, that use sterno cans, is you can't control the heat as well for your chocolate & cheese & they end up getting overdone, or hardening up if you keep turning the fire on & off. This has a melting temperature then you can turn it to warm so your chocolate, or cheese, stay at a perfect consistency. It has 3 trays around it that are perfect for your various dipping items . . . fruit, vegetables, bread croutons, etc. It comes with 4 little fondue forks. This cleans up nicely, but I WOULD NOT follow the MAINTENANCE directions totally because I believe there is an error. The bowl & food trays wash up well with just water & liquid dishwashing detergant. The directions say to "Please immerse the heating device in hot water, then wipe it carefully with a dry cloth, and then wipe off the moisture with dry cloth". This is the electrical heating element...it has vents on the bottom...you NEVER put electrical devices in water. I just wipe it off with a damp rag if it's gotten anything on it. This whole set is perfect size & does the job nicely!

This unit barely warmed up (I could touch the hot plate with no issue) even after being plugged in for 30 min. It’s flimsy plastic and poorly designed. Even if my unit was perhaps a one-off defective unit, the price vs quality is totally off. Don’t waste your money. I ended up with the starfrit one from Walmart - way better.

It's very small and the forks were like plastic toothpicks. Very disappointing. Not worth the money.

What a fun thing to try! I have two other types of fondue pots and I was skeptical at first since this is all plastic, but it is easy to clean! Lightweight, easy to move around and the price is right to try! Very happy with this whether you use it occasionally or regularly! Fun thing for everyone to jazz up your everyday dessert menu! Don't wait for entertaining, use it for the family! Very happy with this!

Just plastic. Heats slowly. Very small area for chocolate and very small tray compartments for dippables. Expensive based on quality.
