Me decepcionó un poco. El precio del re acondicionado es casi igual que la lijadora de banda skil nueva y la verdad la skil la supera por mucho, la banda es más ancha y largo y tiene más potencia. De saberlo, hubiera comprado la skil, pero como la ridgid nueva cuesta mucho más que la skil, pensé era mucho mejor y no, ridgid es más marca que desempeño, al menos en esta herramienta.

It works and seems to be a nice sander.I've frequently bought refurbished items before, but this one looked more used than refurbished. There were a number of scrapes and scratches. Worst looking refurbished item I have ever bought. Which isn't that bad but far from new looking too.It's doing the job but if you expect to get a ton of use out of it. Maybe pay a little extra for the new one.

I was surprised by how nice this belt sander is, esp for a re-burbished item. This was a steal for$81. It's very solid, good weight, nice grips, and very powerful. The automatic centering works perfectly and makes it worth buying this sander alone. The ergonomics make it very easy to maneuver around for rounding off edges or really working an area. Make sure to read the manual! It is critical that you don't put any weight on it...and you really don't want to anyway. This thing sands the wood as hard or gently as you want by working the grain and pulling the sander toward you. I sanded down a 12'x12' hardwood floor with 50-grit, 80-grit, and 120-grit. Then I sanded down the top and seats of a picnic table to smooth it out, remove spurs, and round off all the edges with 80-grit and 120-grit. Worked beautifully for all of it.

We enjoyed this product while it worked. However, this week it quit working; the motor slowed until it quit altogether. Ridgid will not cover refurbished products beyond one year, and we had this for 14 months before it quit. So, buying new from Home Depot (or some other authorized source) would have been a wiser purchase; a little more expensive, but at least we could get warranty work done on the product.Just so others know, we did not overly use or abuse this product in any way; in fact, we used it heavily for two months last summer and about one week this summer. Overall I'd say we were mild on the sander, so for it to quit so soon is alarming.When it worked it worked great. However, we can't recommend the product if we can get long term usage out of it.

First one only lasted 5 min, but the return was handled exceptionally well. Now on the 2nd. Sanding belt wanders all over the place while working. Have to stop sanding to let it return to center. Going to return this one as well. Can't believe Rigid would sell such a terrible product. But this is two bad ones in a row, and not going for the 3rd.

This is a great sander for home use. I am not a pro so I can't speak to that but this thing has a strong motor and gets the job done. I am new to belt sanders so this one wowed me with the power of the motor.
