Tienes que tomar en cuenta el peso de la maquina.... Por supuesto para este tamaño, debe ser pasada la herramienta.... Hace bien su trabajo, si guarda el polvo,,.. Está bien para lijado de superficies grandes... Para terminado fino... ni pensarlo

soy carpintero desde hace 20 años empeze con esta marca cuando era hitachi muy duradera y buena todas mis herramientas son hitachi cuando cambio de nombre me costo aceptar pero siguen sien exelente para mi trabajo y con un precio bastante bueno acomparacion de otras mascas de precios imposibles de pagar

This is a professional quality the heavyweight belt sander works to your benefit as you do not have to push or Force the sander to sand down your materials the only negative that I encounter using this is the dust collection bag can get in the way while you're working and the belt tracking adjustment is in a very awkward position to adjust. the belt tracking adjustment knob is smooth and round so it's hard to grab with your fingers but as long as your belt is tracked correctly it's a great sander I highly recommend it I've run a professional wood shop here for 35 plus years

This is the first review I've done on Amazon, and it's not because they sent one to me, it's simply because I am blown away by the difference in performance between this and the more budget models. I'm a homeowner, don't make money off my tools but rarely contract work out. (To the joy of my wife I'm sure!)Short story long, if you're debating between $100 sander and this one get this one. The rollers are aluminum, or magnesium, or something like that but they're not plastic. The base plate is spring loaded, I'm not totally sure but I believe that may reduce chatter and results in softer starts when you first place it on the material.It's a slightly higher amperage than the two cheaper ones that I exploded previously, and you can tell. It is heavy so if you're doing a lot of overhead work it may not be the one you want but the weight of it also means you don't have to put any significant force into making it work.I'm finding that belts are lasting longer, even bulk Amazon ones. It removes material quickly easily and without fuss. The dust collection actually bothers to work for once, which is a nice touch.That's for what I don't like, the center of gravity is slightly off to the left so if you're doing more precision work you would have to be careful. Belt tracking is good, but you do have to keep an eye on it. I don't know if that would be improved with more expensive sanders, but that's a fairly minor thing as the adjustment is quick and easy.Unlike some other reviews here, I appear to have received a new one and not refurbished. I don't know if that was a thing in the past or I lucked out. Regardless, this is the one I should have bought years ago.

Prometía ser una gran herramienta sin embargo tiene puntos de mejora. Es una herramienta que no pude utilizar por lo siguiente:Detalles en la.herramienta, el rodillo guía tenía desgaste en los extremos y la superficie de este tenía irregularidades, tenía la apariencia de haber sido cambiado por uno usado y en mal estado.La palanca de liberación de la de la lija (sanderpaper) no permanecia fija al momento presionarla, lo cual provocaba que el papel lija no pudiera estar estable aún ajustando con el rodillo guía, por tal motivo ni siquiera era posible realizar una prueba de funcionamientoEn cuanto al resto de materiales con que fue fabricada los calificaría de muy buena calidad.Revise otra reseña en la cual tenian problemas similares a los míos, lo cual me hizo pensar que había recibido la misma lijadora que le tocó a el, lo cual sería lamentable si ese fuera el casoEs una herramienta que difícilmente podrias utilizar invertida como si se puede hacer fácilmente en otras ya que el cable tomacorriente te lo impedirá.Espero tengas mejor suerte cuando hagas tu compra.

I have installed kitchen cabinets for over 35 years. Over that time I have tried and used many different belt sanders. We primarily use them to grind down wall fillers, kicks, and crowns. Anywhere that we have to conform our work pieces to match walls, floors, and ceilings. This sander is excellent for this purpose. It is lightweight, grips easily and comfortably with one hand, tracks well, and is powerful enough to grind through 3/4" stock with a 24 grit belt quite quickly and easily. The Porter Cables in this size are too heavy for one-handed operation and their micro belt sanders, although lightweight, don't have enough power. I use these everyday for a couple of hours and they will last me at least for one year. I think that for the price they are good value. I am on my sixth or seventh sander now because over the years I haven't found anything better.

La lijadora esta bien armada, se puede decir que es industrial, motor y cuerpo al millón, lo malo esq el rodillo trasero qué hace girar la lija de desgasto en solo 2 meses, ahora tengo que remplazarlo por uno de fierro o algo así xq el que trae, ya no sirve, se aborcardo y se sale, ni con plásti acero queda

Es una buena lijadora, excelente potencia y la ventaja que es variable... es sólida, el motivo de las cuatro estrellas es por el juego de la lija, quiero decir que una vez puesta y echando a andar la máquina esta se mueve mucho, aunque ajustes con el accesorio... pero es buena compra..

I have used this sander for several projects, and am very pleased with it's performance. This unit is lighter and less cumbersome to use than some other senders I have owned. Sanding belts are very easy to reload. This sander is constructed of all metal and seems very sturdy. I would definetly recommend this sander.

Buena contrucción , trabaja muy bien , ya con esta es la segunda herramienta de esta combinación de marcas ( compré una sierra de banco ) y les he hagarrado mucha confianza.Para mí no es necesario pagar más por otras marcas con más fama.

This is a great value compared with other sanders spec for spec. I was going to buy another brand and settled on this sander because of the name reputation and overall feature benefit versus price. Hitachi has always been a good brand and the marriage of Metabo makes it that much better. This sander also has a great warranty.Out of the box, this proved to be a great tool. I won a lot of tools, so I am always trying to find a good balance of performance, quality and price. I enjoy the comfortable grip and ergonomics. I used it for nearly two hours right out of the box and found it very comfortable. I hooked up to my dust collector without any modification and away we went. The belt tracking was simple to adjust and keep in line. I like the variable speed adjustment and ease of access, the metal body is sturdy, but lightweight.A great value, solid warranty and great brand. Why spend more than $200 when you can have this one for much less.
