I did not really know how large this item was, as the size listed "0.24 x 0.15 x 0.15 inches; 0.35 ounces" didn't really make much sense to me. When it came it was larger than I thought it would be for the measuring of only 2.5 N, and would have been nice if it had the dual scale on it as pictured on the side of the box.It seems pretty accurate though, as I've got test weights and put it through it's paces. I wanted it for experimenting in metal building sets (such as Meccano/Erector etc) for checking deflection in larger models, attempting to reduce structure to minimize weight versus strength. It works, but certainly would have been more convenient if smaller and with the dual scale. For the cost though I found it quite adequate, and glad to have it.

As other reviewers have pointed out, you do NOT get the scale shown in the picture. However, the one I received is generally very similar, the only major difference being it's graded in kN vs g. So it's good for physics experiments I suppose. It's also a transparent plastic cylinder rather than an opaque blue metal one, which doesn't affect the functionality but does mean you can see the spring inside which has its own value.I'm kinda unsure as to how to rate this, because it's similar and seems decent enough, however, definitely not the identical object show in the listing. Somebody needs to look this over and make corrections, since the item itself is fine and deserves an accurate description.
