I picked up this 1000Mbps Ethernet splitter, and so far, it’s been working well. It’s simple to use—just plug it in and you’re good to go. No complicated setup or issues with getting a stable connection.I was a little worried about losing speed, but it seems to handle high-speed internet just fine. I’m getting full speeds for my connection, which is great. It’s not anything fancy, but if you just need a reliable splitter to connect multiple devices to your network, this one does the job. I’ve had no problems with lag or dropping connections, so I’m happy with it.

Ethernet splitter may be clunky, but you know what this worked way better than I expected. Think of this as the plug and play for new users. I ran a speed test for both my desktops and they ran at equal, if not better speed, yes even through splitting the bandwidth between computers. The only thing I have not tried is using this for Wi-fi connection.

I was having throughput and reliability issues with a powered RJ45 hub on my home network especially when there was rain, high humidity or high heat as this network installation is located outside my house (see photos). Although it is waterproof and has cooling fans which allowed all the other equipment to work without problems.I replaced it with this smaller footprint hub and the throughput went up and reliability went 100% through rain, humidity and heat. This unit was 20% of the cost of my name-brand hub from a big-box electronics store.I have included some performance statistics for reference. Please note that these are in the context of my network and bounce servers in my area, not the capability of the devices themselves as many factors affect the throughput from an external source to you home network. All of the interfaces support 1GPS and I am using CAT6a as some of the distances between buildings is at the limit of CAT6 (300m) and well beyond wireless. This unit has one (1) input and four (4) output ports, each with an advertised transfer rate of 1GPS. It is powered by any AC wall plug that uses USB-A with a 5V 1amp minimum capability. The hub supports CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6, CAT6a, CAT7, CAT8 which covers almost any device you would be using including POE devices (Power Over Ethernet) such as modern video cameras.Note: the box shows two (2) units on the cover however, there is only one in the package.Five stars for me and VERY pleased with this productFor Reference: (publicly available data)• Streaming: High Definition (HD) Streaming: Requires about 5 Mbps, so you can stream HD content on multiple devices simultaneously.• 4K Streaming: Requires about 25 Mbps, so you can stream 4K content on a couple of devices simultaneously.• Gaming: Online Gaming: Typically requires 3-6 Mbps, so 87 Mbps is more than sufficient for smooth online gaming experiences.• Video Conferencing: HD video calls generally require about 3-5 Mbps, so you can handle multiple video calls at once.• General Browsing and Social Media: Web Browsing, Social Media, Email: These activities typically require less bandwidth, around 1-5 Mbps each.• File Downloads: Large File Downloads: An 87 Mbps speed allows you to download large files relatively quickly. For example, a 1 GB file would take about 1.5 minutes to download.• Multiple Users and Devices (family): 87 Mbps is suitable for a household with several users and devices connected simultaneously, performing various activities like streaming, gaming, and browsing.Comparison with Average Speeds: Global Average, as of recent data, the global average internet speed varies but is reported to be around 50-60 Mbps regardless of the advertised main (Fiber) speed.

The unit is easy to set up, it uses the same power cord as my Samsung Galaxy phone. The problem is it cut my Wi-Fi speed in half. I have 1 gig G-fiber, of course the best speed I can get on anything is about 400. My Samsung TV in the other end of the house gets half than and when I used this splitter, it dropped to 46.
