Opened the box to this… must be cheaply made.Update: It connected pretty easy but when I tried to clip them to my hard hat I noticed the other one’s clip is gone/broken.

Bought this for my son’s Trek Marlin 6. It fit like a glove and works perfectly. Make sure you have some grease for the screw threads so they don’t rust.

Fits into my trek Roscoe 8 pretty well, but my 12th gear is popping into the 11th every once in a while. I don't think it is a problem with the hanger, but I know its not a problem with the derailleur, so it's either the cassette or the hanger not sitting perfectly. It might be good idea to spend twice as much and get it from the trek online warehouse store or a local one just to be sure.

I first tried a local bike shop where I bought the bike (Bicycle Village in Aurora, CO). It was going to take them 2-3 weeks to get part for which they were going to charge $25 and an additional $30-$40 to install. I went home and the ordered the part and with tax and next day shipping the price was $24 (less than what the bike shop wanted for just the part). It arrived the following day and was simple to install (less than 15 minutes including time to get tools and stand out).
