I use this to cover part of our green house that got damaged and it works really great as temporary roof. It's thick and for the price this is really good. I'd definitely recommend this.

I've learned the hard way that you need to have a tarp on hand. This one is definitely more heavy duty than the one I bought during an emergency. The texture of the tarp reminds me of duct tape. But thicker and not sticky on one side. It's like having a huge piece of duct tape to keep water out.I feel good to know I have this and if something happens this tarp will help keep the water from spreading.

The reason why I wanted this light rope was that it states that it has a remote control that comes with it. There is no remote control in the rope light I got! There is however a small on off switch by the plug in on the rope light so i am still able to use it how I wanted to but would have been better if I had a remote control instead. I live in a very big victorian house. It was built in 1905. I really wanted to save my electricity bill by using led rope lights around the ceiling of each room instead of using the lights that are not updated I still have very old nylon wiring on all my ceiling lights. All my outlets have been replaced with new wiring so I am playing it safe by using rope led lights to make the room light I ended up using this set of rope lights down the main hallway because it’s on a switch I can just turn on the switch by the outlet. I have the main rooms that are controlled by a remote control so I can just keep them plugged in. I was going to use this rope light in the kitchen that has no rope lights yet. except for a floor lamp that is remote controlled that I use for the main dinning room and the original parlor room. The 6 main bedrooms have rope lights the main bathroom has rope lights the family room has rope lights and now my small hallway downstairs has rope lights. This rope light set is very bright nicely well made and does have the neon light effect I love almost everything about this set of rope light it’s actually the best set I have except for it doesn’t have a remote control so that’s why over all I gave 3 stars. Because I was really wanting it to have a remote control it’s not Bluetooth or WiFi so I can’t even use it from my iPhone. Which is a bummer. But it is still a very good light rope and it’s very long too little over 16 feet long and the entire 16+ feet stays just as bright as the first foot there is no problem with the lighting of the rope or the way it is. Even when I have to bend the rope light it is still very bright. i really love how strong and well made this rope light is. i didnt screw in the clips i have stucco walls ans it was very hard to do from learning experience from other rooms i done i have found that if i use the smaller round velcro or hook and latch stickers i can put them on thw back of the clips and it will stay in place. before i put the adhesive Velcro stickers on the wall and on the back of the hooks, I use a little cotton ball dipped in alcohol, 91% to clean the dirt and grime off the wall and i use a clean new cotton ball dipped in 91% alcohol to clean the back of the clips where i will be placing the velcro. let it dry a bout 10 mins then place the velcro it will make the velcro stay in place a lot better because there is no dirt or small particles the adhesive is sticking to another trick i have learned from doing some of the rooms every room that i done this process with the velcro has stayed in place the rooms that i dis not do this process with some places the velcro came undone from either the wall or the hook itself. thats why i put alcohol on both the hook and the wall it has not ruin my walls using a little alcohol on the walls so far. i will update if i run into a problem with using alcohol on my walls which at this point im not too worried because i need to peel off the old wall paper and repaint them anyways. i have not got this far yet since the rewiring is high priority first. i don't want my home to catch fire. this is the only reason im using rope lights until i get the rewiring done for the main lights in each room. i might actually keep the rope lights up in the rooms because they give off a nice accent lighting even when i get the main lights rewired. i really love the light accent is gives off my ceilings especially in the rooms that have high open base ceilings.

First of all, this is a heavy duty cord, and so much nicer than the standard rope light. My biggest problem with typical rope lights (I like warm white) is that the plastic gets yellowed and discolored pretty quickly. I don't see that happening with this, but we'll see.Second, there is no remote control (states in description there is), and there is no on/off switch, nor is there a way to control the brightness. So, for the price, I would recommend thinking about which attributes are priority for you. That said, it IS pretty bright, too bright for my purpose, which was to add light to the exterior of my 5th wheel...my setup is either too dark, or blindingly light with the LED awning lights, so I look for in-between options. This might be solved by being able to cut the rope, as stated in the description. However, this item doesn't come with any instructions (another ding), and there is no obvious way to tell how or where to cut it, and I'm hesitant to ruin it.So...I gave it 4 stars because of strength and apparent sturdiness, but for MY specific purpose, it's probably more like 2.5 or 3. I hope this helps!
