I have been super pleased with these lights. We installed them semi-permanently near the ceiling to provide diffuse light for a dark office, and while they are not bright enough to light the whole space on their own, they are quite bright! The diffuser and track instaled without any trouble, and were easy to cut to exactly the right size when we needed. Overall, these lights are great quality, and the app is surprisingly full-featured which lets us play with some fun lighting effects.

I built a new room/bedroom in my basement for my 10 year old. I needed 40ft of light strip, so I purchased the 10m kit and 3m kit. After installation, I couldn't figure out how to sync BOTH kits together so I emailed GOVEE. They told me 10m is the longest setup that can be synced together.. and even though the 2 kits I installed were able to be plugged in/linked together, they would not work like that - so I was forced to use BOTH power supplies (1 for each kit). That kinda made me mad but it is what it is. In the app, you can shorten a kit, or lengthen ANY of the kits that are shorter than 10m BUT BEWARE if you need longer than 10m, you won't be able to daisychain them together, and you have to use the power supply that came with the 10m kit, and the power supply that came with whatever other length kit you got. I can't belive it's 2025 and they don't have the ability to have a kit longer than 10m.But other than that, I love them!!

I really like this light strip. This replaces an older one that I have and it's a lot cleaner looking. It includes the channels and diffuser along with clips to mount the LED strips inside. It basically comes with everything you need to set this light strip up with a clean look. The only thing you would need is a saw or something to cleanly cut the channels if you need it to fit in a specific space. It was very easy to get this connected to the Govee app and have it setup. The Govee app is also another reason to get this. Their app has a ton of customization and is one of their strong competitive advantages. I love using their lights as a result.

Lost a star because after putting up and clipping in one roll of light strip we found to connect the two the ends are different and only one of the two spools is the "start" that can be connected to the second one. Meaning had to unclip all of it, take it off, and rearrange so they plug in. Also the QR code and website instructions brings you to an instructional video that does not exist.

(Edit*Contacted customer service about this issue and they made it right without question. Great customer service and great product.)I bought 2 kits. One kit arrived with no male connectors on the strips. The other was perfect and works like it should. Someone made a mistake at the factory and didn’t catch the mistake. Luckily, I know how to solder and can fix it myself after I order the 4 pin male connectors I need. Most people would have to return the kit and get another one sent. It’s an inconvenience, but these lights are amazing. The kit that I was able to install last night was everything I hoped it would be. Very cool product. Customer service was fast in responding to my issue, but didn’t help.
