This V jaw channel lock wrench is solid. It's heavy and extremely well made. The tolerance is very good with no play at all. The 12" is a good large size and should handle anything you need to tighten/loosen.The teeth in the jaws are aggressive and should grip anything you grab on to. There's enough adjustability to allow you to grab up to almost 3". The handles are covered in a very durable rubber grip and is comfortable to hold. This is so much better thank the one I got from harbor freight and well worth it.

I already had a pair of channel locks but ordered this because of the improved design.Upon receiving I was very impressed with the quality of the materials and design. The fit and finish is excellent. There is play in the pin as is normal for all channel locks to accommodate quick adjustment. I have to believe that was a design intention and not an issue of fit/finish but it's more play than I personally would want but it shouldn't take away from the operation so im not going to deduct anything.The design is VERY good. The jaws have multiple grip patterns that have incredibly good "Bite" onto anything from round to square and every irregular thing in between. these are designed to grip anything and everything. The grip comes from the geometry and angles so that opposing top-bottom parts of the jaws clamp down similar to how a pipe wrench works. This new Design feels like it could take the place of some of your traditional pipe wrenching.I got this from the amazon Vine program but I would consider buying more sets for gifts.I appreciate how the pinning is done flush. and I like the powerdercoating (thick) n the metal surfaced. These are touches that take this from a generic tool to a very high end thought out work of engineering and craftsmanship.. This IS a premium Tool for sure.It's very comfortable in hand. The materials they use for the handle is grippy yet soft in the hand and has texture. Aesthetically (if that matters) this is the best looking wrench I have ever seen. But what's wrong with making tools that look nice right?If you look at the intricate geometry of the jaws.. this can clamp down on the smallest of items or wire as well as the biggest of pipes.Overall I am HIGHLY HIGHLY impressed with these pliers and would highly recommend them to everyone as a MUST have item around the house, or jobsite. This is NOT a specialty tool you never use, this is one of your GO TO bread and butter tools you can use for most things. This is a serious premium tool.

For general around the house work, get this instead of the dipped vinyl grip version. For tight spaces, like working on vehicles, the less bulky dipped handle version may work better. These are great for old hose removal by the way. Great for plumbing work around the house for compression fitting ferule removal with the sharp "K9" jaws that put the bite down without a lot of grip force. Very handy size and excellent overall tool feel. Love this pair of adjustable jaw pliers.

Overall, the fit and finish of these pliers is slightly over-represented in the product photos. In reality, it is somewhere between what you would expect to find at the bargain tool stores and the traditional brand name versions from which this was likely cloned, but even so, the very reasonable price point makes up for any shortcomings it has in appearance, and it should perform functionally on similar par with much more expensive competitors.

this are well made, the grip is amazing. I'm highly impress by how well they fit my hand.
