I installed the item 2 weeks before we went on vacation. The mounting bolt broke while we were on vacation. I was able to get the broken part out. We got a replacement part and put it on. We were able to finish our vacation.

I had to reuse the old bolt as this one would not screw in. I tried to file the thread so it starts but gave up. The ball bearings are European as far as I remember. Works fine for a few months now. Anything is better than the 200,000 old tensioner.

Fits my 2005 Odyssey perfectly. Started sqeeling after one month. Sprayed lubricant but noise came back. Will probably replace bearing with old parts. Disappointing. Labor intensive.

replaced auto belt tensioner with this product; perfect fit and so far works well; will update laterNOTE:1. be careful to tighten the two bolts to specifications (big bolt (size 17mm) to 54 lbf.ft and smaller bolt (12mm) to 16 lbf.ft); do not over tighten them2. you must secure the two bolts first before install the belt; i made a huge mistake trying to loosen the big bolt so that I can easily install the belt then tighten the bolt later; turned out as soon as the belt is in place it tighten all the pulleys including the tensioner then it is really hard to tighten the big bolt properly (as a result my tensioner broke after one week - a disaster since the threaded part stuck inside with tight spot to tap out; you would not want that ever happened to you)3. before install the big bolt put some engine oil on the threaded part - do not put lactite liquid4. check the drive belt (serpentine) and perhaps this is a good time to change it too5. remember the the tensioner has a hydraulic mechanism therefore you must very slowly move it when installing the belt (never use air impact gun - it will break the hydraulic)
