almost looked as if it was taken apart and used looks nothing like picture pulley did not look the same possibly missing spacers

A Quality part at an affordable price. Installing can be challenging for a shade tree mechanic like me.So take your time and double-check your work!

I didn't want to replace the whole tensioner on my 2003 V6 4Runner, but using the wrong Gates idler pulley instead for a while now I decided to replace it. The reason is the serpentine belt ends up riding on the edge of the pulley with the wrong Gates idler pulley and the bolt also doesn't thread in that deep like with the OEM tensioner pulley.So I didn't want to replace the whole tensioner because it still seemed fine, so I only used the pulley from the new Gates Tensioner. It was a perfect replacement. I wish they sold just that pulley and reverse threaded bolt!

I drive 2007 FJ cruiser. I have 122k miles, I had a whistling and rattling noise under the hood. I needed to change my serpentine belt anyway ( had a road trip coming up and had no idea how long the previous owner had the current one in there). when I had my belt off i inspected the old tensioner and drive pulley and they were very gritty, I replaced the Tensioner with this one. No more noise under the hood.

Installed when I changed the original water pump on my 2006 4Runner 4.0. Kind of a pain figuring out the installation but everything worked out just fine. Lot of work but around here labor is insane so I probably save about $500 doing this myself. Not for the average weekend handyman, and if I wasn't so stubborn I probably would have taken the parts to a shop and had it done. Results are excellent. Good for another 130k like the original parts I hope.
