Feeds fine, easy to clean, schedule is customizable and works, I LOVE that it comes with a lock strap for my feisty kitty. The camera is OK, but I'd rather have a use a different camera. This one isn't good quality and isn't super easy to use.I have two cats, so I only wanted this one because of the camera. Since it's not a great feature, I'm going to go back to my double feeder & get a different indoor security camera for my kitties.

I didn't really have great expectations of this gadget, but I have to say I'm kind of impressed. It assembled easily, and I was tickled to find that it integrated just great with my existing Tuya Smart app. Even better, Home Assistant can operate the feeder as well, though not every element is exposed. Pretty cool. The camera isn't the greatest, but it's fine. It's enough to see if there is food in the bowl and see which cat is eating all the food. The audio doesn't seem to work great, but that's not a big feature for me. What it does do well so far is reliably dispense food into the bowl and that's the important thing. Velcro safety strap? No biggie. It's simple and it works.

This sets up easily, connects easily to the internet as long as you are close to your router, and is easily operated by your app on your phone, assuming you have a phone or other device capable of utilizing an app. If you DON'T, it's unfortunate, but it doesn't look like there's any easy way to otherwise schedule any feedings on this thing, so it looks like it's made primarily for the wealthy who can afford such things. It does dispense well, much better than the other automatic cat feeder I have, and doesn't seem to clog easily, which lends some piece of mind. I haven't been able to figure out how to get the camera to work, and I suspect that you have to order a subscription, because there's nothing else in the app that I can find to operate it. Having to have a subscription to look through this very fuzzy camera and interact with my pet through the hard to understand speaker seems quite egregious, especially when I don't even have to pay a subscription for my security camera operation and interaction, for example. I'm not a fan of grab for cash schemes, and, in my opinion, it doesn't build up brand loyalty or project loyalty. The feeder does clean up easily, and I'm overall happy with it, but because of the camera issue and the inability to easily schedule feedings without some sort of Internet connection, I have to dock it at least one star. I'm honestly not sure if that's being overly generous, or not. I hope this is helpful to some of you out there.

I was impressed with the size right out of the box it holds about 6lbs of dry cat food or dog food. Setting it up was easy, though I couldn’t figure out how to attach the safety lock strap. It's just a Velcro strap, so no big deal.To download the app, you can scan the QR code or search for "Smart Life" on the App Store (look for the house icon). The camera quality is as expected (480p) with a frame rate of around 10 FPS, which makes it a bit laggy. However, it works well enough to check if there’s food in the bowl while you're away.On the Smart Life app, you can set and adjust feeding times. I have mine set for 4 AM, 12 PM, and 7 PM, and the food drops on time. At first, the app seemed confusing, but you can edit feeding times easily after setting them. You can even make it play a sound that you recorded (typically your voice) anytime food drops, I have mine say “Food, want food” anytime the food drops. Also extremely easy to clean, where the food drops is an aluminum bowl that can be removed. Super easy to put wet food & dry food then clean it.Overall, I’m very satisfied. I previously had another feeder, and this one is far superior in design, capacity, and reliability. There are no jamming issues, and the food-drop mechanism is bigger so it doesn’t jam when food is caught inside. Easy to clean.Cons: the feeder uses a revolver-style mechanism, so you’ll need to dispense about three servings before food starts falling out after you refill it. I wish it had a simple drop-through system, but it hasn’t jammed like my old one because this product has a bigger mechanism to drop the food.Cons: I had to remove one star due to the devices wifi issues. The WiFi chip isn’t very strong, sometimes when trying to view the camera or use the speaker option to talk to the animals it says “Operation Failed” this happens about 60% of the time. I also clicked the feed button within the app but right afterwards the device had wifi interruption and continued to drop food in perpetuity. This is a major flaw as the design should only drop a max of 6 servings, if I wasn’t there to reset the device It quite literally would have kept dumping and dumping food until either it was empty or perhaps damaged. I have very good 1.2GBPS 2.4Ghz/5ghz WiFi so I know it’s the product having issues. If the WiFi chip was stronger it would be 5/5, I wouldn’t trust it to feed the animals whilst you’re on vacation for example. Thus why I rated it 4 stars. However I still recommend this.
