It's been years since I went fishing. Threw out and/or gave away all my old gear the last time we "updated" the place. I ordered this out of nostalgia more than anything, but then when it arrived I was blown over by its apparent quality. (I say "apparent" because I won't know for sure until I use it a few times, but based on first inspection it looks like this gear will work.) The reels, especially, look workable -- and the collapsible rods will make it that much easier to get my ostensible fishing partner out on the water. She never cared for the mess and hassle of transporting 7 and 8 foot long rods all tangled with hooks and such. But now, I'll just snip off the tag end, drop the lure and such in a box, and collapse the rod down to next to nothing. I'm ready, let's go.

I sometime fish while on the way from work but needed something portable. This kit is great. Nice quality that was easy to set up. It does not come pre spooled but they do give you light line to put on. They look nice and can catch small to mid size fish with no prob. It spins and cast smooth and even comes with the carrying case. I plan to get more for my other cars.
