For electronic repair .210 inches wide is the best size to use.

I go for the bigger wick and bigger soldering iron tips for component removal.Am restoring a vintage Marantz 2325. Expect to use a lot of wick - this stuff really sucks - literally. Probably because of the flux. Have used some Chinese wick that really did suck (negatively). Buy it!!

Great for amp work. Use it almost daily. I love the pre-fluxed braid. Definitely speeds up the process not having to constantly apply flux when desoldering. I will still use a bit for very heavy solder joints just to help but it works without that too.
