I’ve had these pads for almost one year, used the yellow pad on my wife’s crossover, it’s black metallic. My results were very satisfying, took out swirls and clear coat scratches. Hopefully warm weather will come so I can take winter scratches out!

These seem pricey, but like with most things that actually work as advertised, they are worth it. My truck had deep scratches from driving through brush - what truck owners fondly call pin stripes to make them feel better about scratches. I used the yellow and orange pads with the 32 sauce and the light scratches are totally gone. The deep scratches are nearly impossible to see. I didn't bother with the finer pads and grit because the truck looked good, absolutely no swirls we're visible, and because it's a truck. I am sure that the Bosch 1250DEVS played a huge role in achieving this (by the way, the Bosch is amazing for all sanding and polising jobs). It took about three hours to do my full-size SUV, and because my wife's subie was right there, I touched up the scrtaches in that as well. I haven't tried any other products like this (except elbow grease, rubbing compound, and some magic potions from walmart, which didn't do a thing btw). Don't waste your time and money, either pay a pro, or invest in these pads combined with a good polisher. For most jobs you can probably get away with the yellow and orange pads and 32 polish from the same company. The other pads must be for people who have more time and nicer cars than mine.

I just used these, they work just like the pads that came with my Torx buffer, I cant say I notice them stay any cooler, but my buffer is orbital and never really tended to heat the paint anyway. These pads do a great job, I love the expansion in choice (my buffer only came with 5 pads originally) and these do a terrific job. The pad cleaner I had purchased before and I would suggest investing in this, it makes my polish go much further and makes the pads last much longer. To the folks that state their pads fall apart, I want to give a tip...don't try just tearing them off of the buffer, the velcro on the back sticks well (as you would want it to), I dig my nails between the buffer and the pad and peel it away that way so I don't rip the pad from the velcro backing. I even ran my original pads through the clothes washer and them squeezed out the water by hand and put them on the shelf for my next use (not recommended by the manufacturer), even abusing the pads in this sense my original pads are still usable, but I replaced them as I have buffed out several cars and there material was starting to not look at good, though they were still very functional, I wanted the pads to be in perfect shape for the next several cars. ;)I am VERY happy with these pads purchased from Chemical Guys.
