Contrary to other reviews of this product, my opinion is not good. The panel is well built and looks good and promising. The connection is Type C and comes with an adapter for Micro USB Type. It comes with the hardware to install, it comes with a long cable, and it came well packed. I bought it for a Reolink camera, with a Micro USB port, I connected the panel and put the camera with the panel on the balcony for two days, and it only charged up to 25%. I put the panel on a window. Connected it to my phone, and it did not charge. I thought the panel was going to work, but no, the price is good, but the performance is not.

So I tested this at the same time I tested another panel. That one promised 7 watts. This one promises 8.Both panels can't even manage ONE watt each. Which is funny because they're both the exact same panel, right down to the exact same OEM cells, but both promise different results, and neither can deliver. Which is deeply funny to me.Honestly not even sure why this exists. The voltage is spotty at best unless the sun is FULLY out, with no clouds, and the wattage is basically nonexistent because the thing can't pull amperage to save its life.

I really like this solar panel, it seems to be working well so far for my Ring camera and keeping it charged even with moderate amounts of sun. The instructions for the mounting kit were a little confusing but I eventually figured it out and attached it to a gutter mount. It's working well with my newest 2025 version of the Ring stick up cam. I think it's a great value for the price and really recommend this.

I know they dont want to make too high watts to overcharge a battery, but most batteries cantake a bit extra, its the too low thats the problem. If its only 5 watt panel, and its got clouds goingby then it may only put out 2 and that wont charge battery so wiht 8 its got a better chance. I thinkthe idea of the ones who have an internal storage battery in panel that gives a constant 5V feed to thecamera are the best idea, but they may be more expensive then people are willing to pay...
