The sound the doors make when it opens and closes is a bit loud for my cat, but she got used to it within a week and it works great! So glad I found a budget option to solve our multi at feeding issues.

Great item! We have an 'indoor/outdoor' cat that adopted us during Covid. We started feeding her indoors because we didn't want other animals to steal her food. The problem is when we are out of town, she is not an indoor cat, we have to leave her outside. This automatic feeder works wonderfully well. It took her only a day to adjust to it and it solved our problem! Highly recommend!!!Quiet, sturdy, functional and worth every penny.

As someone with multiple cats who all think they are the boss of the food bowl, this automatic cat feeder has been a lifesaver. The RFID collar sensor makes sure only the right cat gets access to the food, which is a game changer for keeping the greedy ones in check. The four feeding modes are perfect for setting schedules, and the LCD menu is easy to navigate even for someone like me who avoids reading manuals. The voice recording feature is hilarious because now I can call my cats to eat even when I am not home. It works great for both wet and dry food, which means I do not have to compromise on their meals. If you are juggling multiple cats and want to keep mealtime stress-free, this feeder is exactly what you need. My cats are happy and I finally have some peace.

My cats don’t like having to put their entire heads inside of the machine to eat, so they will go in and grab a mouthful and pull it out of the bowl to eat it. But as soon as they move their heads away from the bowl by even a couple of centimeters, it’s beeps and starts closing, which scares them and they run off. They also aren’t a fan of the opening mechanism because they have to get so close to it for it to open and the sound of the motor startles them. With a lot of work, I’ve been able to get them to acclimate a little bit, but they still will only eat when I’m sitting right there and encouraging them with high value treats. Seems they’d sooner starve than try to eat from it on their own. The whole reason we wanted these was so we could go see my husband’s family for Christmas out of state and not have to worry about them eating each other’s prescription food, but it looks like that’s going to be a bust. :( These things are incredibly poorly designed. There is no way to change the range at which the opening/closing mechanism is triggered, how long it stays open once the approved cat has walked away, and no way to turn off/turn down the volume of the damn beeps. The enclosed space prevents them from seeing what’s going on around them, which makes them very nervous. If the plastic was clear, maybe it would be better. They are also very small. I wouldn’t want to stick my head in there either. The settings functionality is cumbersome and not straight forward. It takes a long time to even unlock and open the thing to retrieve the bowl. I’m hoping my cats will get used to it by the time we leave so we don’t have to worry about them starving themselves when the pet sitter isn’t there (he will only be there for 30 min in the morning and evening, so it’s not like he can sit an make sure they eat their own food and don’t try to steal anyone else’s). The plastic feels cheap too. Genuinely would recommend just spending the extra money for a decent automatic feeder. If we can’t get them used to these things, then we will have to return them and get something better or just resolve ourselves to the fact that the cats are just going to eat each other’s food when we’re not there to supervise them. Really disappointing. Definitely not worth the price. There is a safety feature that senses if something is preventing the doors from closing to keep from trapping my cats’ necks if it closes on them while their heads are in the bowl. But with an item as cheap as this, I don’t fully trust that it is reliable and I’m terrified that it will glitch and strangle one of my cats to death while we’re not home. Will probably return these after we return from our trip, honestly. :
