These speaker buttons are a cool concept, really. They are easy to use as well. Training is... interesting, but that doesn't have a lot to do with the quality of the product. I think they would be easier for my dog to differentiate between if they were maybe different shapes or textures. Dogs don't the ability to see in as many colors as people, so I am guessing the red, orange, and pink look incredibly similar to a dog, being pretty close on the color spectrum and in the ranges that are hardest for them to see. They also use a lot of batteries - 2 AAAs each.

I have just received this and know 2 things: 1. You will need a magnifying glass to read the directions 2. You will have to get AAA batteries (2 for each button) before you can start to use these. I chose this set because they did not say I would need to supply my own batteries while the other sets I looked at did specify that batteries were not included. So I made the assumption that the necessary batteries were included. Nope I'll need a trip to the store before I can try these out.

These dog buttons are well made, seem durable, and are easy for me to use. Now, as for my Big Boy Buddy, it's going to take some more time. Buddy is a rescued shelter dog who hasn't had a stable home, so I'm fostering him and thought this would be a great bonding experience for him and his new adopting owner. In the meantime, I put the batteries into the Buttons and started the process of teaching him to inform me when he needed to go outside. This process went fairly well with a lot of repetition and positive reinforcement. However, it worked better for him if the Button is placed on the door instead of the floor. He bumps it with his nose when he wants to go out and I use another one placed under my covered porch for when he wants to come in. The battery life is very good since I have not had to change the batteries throughout the training or while he has been using them. The size is nice for his nose to effectively bump the buttons without any problem. However, this is where his abilities have stopped. While the additional Buttons work, he has yet to understand or execute the pushing of these buttons, either with his nose or his paw. Even the button I have programmed for "Treats" which is his favorite things in the world. So I think I need to continue to reinforce the buttons he knows and work with him on the the other buttons over time.

I've always wanted to understand my dog's needs better, and these recordable buttons have made it possible. They're super easy to use—just press and record a message up to 30 seconds. The sound is clear, so my dog gets it. The set comes with a sturdy mat and stickers to keep things organized. Plus, the included clicker and training e-book have been really helpful. Now, we're communicating like never before, and it's brought us even closer.

This is such a charming idea and I wanted it to work so badly---but it didn't work for either of my two dogs. Both of them looked at me like I was crazy, and I probably looked as demented as they thought trying to get two Rhodesian Ridgebacks to push a little button saying "outside."They didn't do it even once.I'm not going to blame this product for my dog's being so stubborn (or a bit slow), or for me being too lazy to stick with the training, so I'll just focus on the product itself.--The colors of the buttons are bright and vivid and the surface is smooth and responsive to being pushed. They're not as big as they look in the photos though, and almost seem a bit too small for the paws of larger dogs, EACH ONE also needs 2AAA batteries, so be prepared.--Recording the voice commands for each button was more difficult than it should have been and took multiple tries before even we could understand it. There was a lot of static and crackles and the tone just seemed off.--It comes with a trainer clicker, that works well and is the only thing my dogs actually seemed excited about or paid attention to.--It comes with a mat to keep them stable and from sliding around, but the buttons can be picked up and easily removed...and we all know how dogs are around little balls looking objects. Sigh. For us, it just didn't work.
