I purchased aMueller UltraToast Full Stainless Steel Toaster 4 Slice, Long Extra-Wide Slots for Bagels and Waffles, 6 Browning Levels, LED Display, Cancel/Defrost/Reheat Functions & Removable Tray,last year the was absolute junk and a waste of money.This one work great and I highly recommend it, does everything perfectly!

Many years ago, I bought a Bella immersion blender, and it’s lasted all this time and works so reliably that, when I was offered this Bella toaster for review, I decided to ask for it. (I’m pretty sure it’s the same company, because some of their older appliances are the same red color.) Our current two-slice toaster is awful, very slow and toasts inconsistently, only takes two slices at a time, and we’re always frustrated with it. We tend to make toast to go with dinner and keep the toaster on a shelf beside the dining room table.I love this toaster! First, what a difference being able to toast four slices at a time. At least on the 3 and 4 (medium) settings, which we would use most of the time, it toasts evenly and reliably whether we’re toasting two or four slices. (I have not tested the dark or light settings. Bread these days is too expensive to play around with.) I don’t think it matters where in the long slots you put just two slices; I just sit mine in the middle, but it’s fine on one side, too.I like the lighter, softer color (our other toaster has an aggressive black look), and it’s simple and intuitive to use. This toaster is in their new line of space-saving kitchen appliances. I’ve got my eye on their matching 4 quart air fryer and blender now!The included instruction manual is very heavy on the cautions for use, repeating itself many times. It stresses that you are not to put anything in it that might drip, like toaster pastries, and also says not to use foil packets in it. I have some of those parchment toaster sleeves that you’re supposed to be able to make ham and cheese sandwiches with by toasting them in a toaster, but I’m kind of afraid to try them with this toaster. The cord for this toaster is shorter than my other toaster’s cord, and it wouldn’t reach the wall outlet where I wanted to put it. I put it on a surge suppressor, and I hope that’s going to be okay. That way, I can cut the power to it without having to crawl under the table to unplug it.

So far it is doing good. I let it do a few dry cycle (without bread) to burn out any factory residues that may have been in there. I did notice the inside coils do not burn as red hot as the outside coils.Maybe that's intended? I was concerned the bread wouldn't toast well, but so far it does ok.

Love the slim design and color. The only problem is the pottery slides down into the side and is difficult to get out.
