These door knobs are high quality and look good. Some guests have commented how much easier an oval-shaped knob was to grab and turn than a regular round knob. Yes these are more expensive than your usual knobs but these also take your home decor to the next level.

Nice substantial door knob. I never thought to think twice over the standard door knob until I felt the weight of this knob uninstalled. Easy to install with no surprises over any other knob I have installed. After installation it only feels that much better and provides a great solid and satisfying feel for both opening and closing of the door. Fits the styling of my older home and sure to provide many years of service over the cheaper options out there. Amazon also offers a pretty substantial savings over that other big box stores where these are available. I will continue to purchase these when replacing other knobs in the future.

lovely knobs BUT the absolute hell and torture that follow when removing the protective sticker around the handle is a life of pain. every single handle is horribly sticky because they stickers do not remove properly (likely pressed on too hard at the factory and during transit)as a result, we are now going to spend a day scrubbing each and every handle, both sides, with different solvents - trying to remove the sticky junk that also attracts filth. i can not believe that baldwin doesn't just use a simple foam padded wrap that slides off, duh. torture. seriously. think twice before taking on this chore after installation.in return for the torture, i would like baldwin to just give me the full cost of each and every knob (over 14 in the house). i love the look, so unwilling to remove, just stuck with weeks of agony removing the sticky garbage from each one.

My house was built in the early 1940s, and some of the beautiful old brass door knobs that were original to the home were worn out and no longer working. I decided to replace all of the knobs with a knob that had a older look to them. I decided on these Baldwin knobs and I could not be happier with my choice. The dark oil-rubbed bronze finish has a timeless look, that fits well with an older house, but would probably look good in a modern space too. The knobs are incredibly hefty, and the mechanism turns precisely and has a very solid feel to it. Installation was quick and easy. (I did have to re-drill the knob openings in all of my doors because the older knobs were much smaller, but Baldwin provided a template, and it was a very simple process after the first one). I know, I'm gushing about a doorknob, but this is just an awesome, awesome doorknob. Expensive yes. But absolutely worth it.

I have these knobs installed on every door in my house I love them so much. I wanted to go with something different than the brass or brushed nickel that everyone else has and this oil rubbed bronze was just the ticket. My home has original two panel doors from the 50's so I wanted something more modern than what would have been installed originally on them but not so modern that it did not fit with the overall style of the home.The finish is beautiful, very dark with just a hint of the bronze showing through. The knobs themselves have an egg shape which is very comfortable in your hand. They are also SOLID, which hopefully means they will hold up for many many years. Installation is straight forward for the privacy and passage knobs but more difficult for the entry knob (see my review for more information...). Overall I am very pleased with these and get many compliments on them.
