I like this item because it is air filled and I prefer air filled devices to foam filled devices because they are adjustable. The biggest issue I had with this device is that it requires you to have an air pump in order to use it.The manufacturer suggests that you can fill the device manually by breathing into it, however I don't find this convenient at all. The air hole is a plastic hole with a plug in it and it's not like a beach ball. A beach ball has a rubber mouth piece that you can squeeze to blow into, then release to prevent the air from escaping between breaths. This device has an open hole that will release all of the air pressure in the device until you plug it with the rubber stopper. Also, the manufacturer says that you can fill the device with three breaths? This is not possible AT ALLAside from that I wouldn't use this as a travel pillow either. It is bulky, and it is an oblong shape that really is only suited for lower lumbar support. And again, you have to carry a small air pump with you to inflate it when you need it or carry it fully inflated, which also makes it more bulky.Compared to soft fluff-filled pillows that are much more convenient I found this item to be slightly less convenient for travel or in the vehicle. On the other hand, if you're using this device as a stationary item I find it to be great. The pressure is adjustable and if you have a small pump you can adjust the pressure of the air in the device to suit as needed. I find that being able to adjust the pressure is key for certain back regions and to help reduce stress and back pain.Lastly I found the device to be rugged, well made, and it should last a long time with appropriate care. The item comes with an attached strap that fit easily around my car seats, and my office chair.Overall, I gave this item 5 stars because it is a great item, and it has a high value for usefulness, and stowing capabilities. I just didn't like the air filling procedure. I do have several battery operated hand pumps so if I needed to use this item on the go I could. I just don't find it to be a convenience as the manufacturers thoughts on filling the item seemed to be a little off.I would buy again.

Loved this for air travel! Will never go on another airplane without it now. Easy to blow up and deflate. Compact and light. Strongly recommend!

I had spinal surgery and 3 weeks later had a trip to South Africa -about 20 miles!! Using this inflatable support ( just above my lumbar) was exactly what I needed to relieve any pressure from my incision site. I am not exaggerating when I say: “THIS was a life saving support”. Highly recommended.

I had a piece of the Obus Form back rest and lost it. I bought this for travel on airplanes, which is where I lost the lumbar support I had. I had high hopes but was disappointed in the design. Pros: soft and because it inflates you can make it different thicknesses. It also has a belt so you can't lose it. It is comfortable to wear. Cons: you can't adjust the placement of it easily and it wouldn't stay in place. I got a back ache quickly. I tried deflating it so it only had a little air in it but overall it is just too big to be comfortable. It reminds me of the old life preserver belts. I really need something small that just fits in the hollow of my lower back. I don't need a huge pillow that sits on top of my hips and covers the whole seat back. So in conclusion, this is a good idea but needs some design changes. Maybe if it had separate compartments? I will be returning this item.

I recently picked up the Gads Inflatable Lumbar Travel Pillow, and it’s been a great addition to my travel essentials. The design is compact and lightweight, making it super convenient to pack, and it inflates easily with just a few breaths. Once inflated, it provides solid lumbar support without being too stiff or uncomfortable. I really appreciate the adjustable firmness, which lets me tailor the support to fit my comfort needs exactly. The material is soft yet durable, and it doesn’t irritate the skin, even on long trips. Deflating it is quick, and it packs down to a small size, which is ideal for slipping into my carry-on bag without taking up much room. The only minor downside is that it might take a couple of tries to find the exact inflation level that feels best, but once you do, it’s well worth it.My only concern is with the long-term durability. Made of vinyl, I’m not entirely sure how it will hold up with frequent use or in extreme conditions, but for now, it’s doing the job perfectly. I’m also puzzled by the included belt—do you strap it to the seat or to your body? I haven’t found a clear use for it, and I might even cut the straps off if they don’t prove useful.Overall, it seems to be a pretty good product, and I’d recommend the Gads Inflatable Lumbar Travel Pillow for anyone looking to add comfort to their travels.
